Injury Report: Brass To Glass Isn’t GLEAT

Ouch, these bad GLEAT injury reports and puns sometimes…maybe having them means you can hit harder but not take them or the old “glass jaw” philosophy as after yesterday’s event the promotion announced that Brass Knuckles JUN won’t be using them, or anything else, in the ring for a while. Broken jaw. Out indefinitely. Presumably it happened in the 3-way for the vacant G-RUSH Championship. The report says a follow-up on a return date would be announced when he knows more, I imagine it’ll be at least a couple months.

New Japan continued the World Tag League today in Osaka with the penultimate day of Block A.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and can be watched on demand on New Japan World. This was a live Samurai! TV broadcast in Japan.

The announced paid attendance was 1002, a legit advance sellout.

All but the bottom 2 still have a chance due to tiebrrakers.

GLEAT 12/4/25 Results (Updated)

GLEAT ran their latest G PRO WRESTLING event yesterday, the last one before a major milestone as it was the 99th such event.

Yesterday’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on YouTube with a paid channel subscription (about 900 yen in Japan but $9/month outside Japan, which given current exchange rates is a ripoff).

The announced paid attendance was 174.

Match 1: Ryuichi Kawakami, Keiichi Sato, Chris Weiss & Rock Iwasaki beat KAZMA SAKAMOTO, Soma Watanabe, Quiet Storm & So Daimonji. Kawakami pinned Watanabe after a lariat.

Match 2: Mirko Mori & Nico Inberaldi beat MICHIKO & Junjie. Mori pinned MICHIKO affer a frog splash.

After the event, it was announced on social media that the next challenger for Lindaman’s G-REX Championship will be TJP. That match will happen on 12/30.

DEVELOPING: Injured Big Name Returning Soon

Some welcome news on the injury front just minutes ago…popular freelancer Daisuke Sekimoto, best known as perhaps the best “pure” wrestler in death match-centric Big Japan but who has been out a while due to a foot injury, is about to return. All-Japan just announced he will return at the promotion’s 12/10 event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Return match/opponent(s) TBA. The only match set for that event so far is the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League Finals.

DDT 12/3/25 Results

DDT began their December house show tour today in Tokyo with an event oddly titled GO UPDATE 2025.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The paid attendance was not announced.

Match 1: Takao Soma & Shota beat Yuya Koroku & Hinata Kasai. Soma pinned Kasai after Mad Splash. Although DDT announced Soma would be out several months due to treatment for a knee injury that absence will not start until 1/1 so he’ll finish the year before going on hiatus.

Match 2; Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda beat Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata. Honda pinned Hirata.

Match 3: Yuji Iino & Yukio Naya beat Hideki Okatani & Demus. Naya pinned Demus after The World’s Largest Backdrop.

Match 4: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & Illusion beat HARASHIMA, Akito & O-MENZ Kumadori. Illusion pinned Kumadori after a swanton bomb. Afterwards, Illusion demanded a potential final fight-a match against Kumadori, which may have already happened had it not been for a Kumadori injury earlier this year. That match will happen on 12/24.

Match 5: Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshinura & Yuki Ishida beat Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Tomomitsu Matdunaga. Ishida pinned Matsunaga.

Main Event: Yuki Ueno & To-y beat Taleshi Masada & Yasu Urano by ref stoppage (TKO). Ueno beat Masada with a blackout sleeper. Afterwards, Urano stole the DDT Extreme Championship belt from To-y and declared himself UNOFFICIAL Champion, leading Akito to announce an OFFICIAL title match where To-y will defend against Urano. Injury Report: New Management Needed

If you watch DDT events, you may know that when he’s not wrestling Takao Soma is also the manager of Dropkick, a sports bar run by the promotion (there are a few such wrestling-themed others in Japan, such as Count 2.99 in-I think-Osaka and Sumire Natsu’s NatsuBar in Tokyo). He might have to put that on hold for a while as he won’t be wrestling for a time either. Left knee, which is an existing injury. Out indefinitely starting in January for treatment. It’s not yet known how long Soma may be out but it’s safe to say months.

Pro Wrestling NOAH continued the winding-down SUNNY VOYAGE 2025 Tour today in Shizuoka.

Today’s event was held at Kira Messe Numzau in Shizuoka and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Wednesday. There was no live broadcast.
