There have been some cryptic social media posts the last few days from Tokyo Joshi Pro about a new “manager”, perhaps tied to the recent DDT match where Representative Director Tetsuya Koda lost to GM Imabayashi and was forced to “retire”. Then, earlier today, this:
Loose Twitter translation:
“Everyone, sorry to keep you waiting, Tojo!
It’s “Tojojo,” the manager of TJPW!
From now on, I’ll be posting lots about all the wrestlers and TJPW!
Looking forward to it, Tojo!”
It’s a brand new account apparently created in the last week. It’s first of 6 posts so far was Saturday. Many TJPW wrestlers are making posts wondering what’s going on and a “manager” is certainly news to TJPW all-but-in-charge Miyu Yamashita. And apparently it now has a profile on TJPW’s website. A loose translation of its (?) profile:
“One day, a mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, claiming to be the ‘manager of Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’ without being appointed by anyone. Her hometown, purpose, and even who she is are completely unknown. Even if you ask him personally, he doesn’t really understand, but today he updates his social media with a mysterious sense of mission.”
Maybe we’ll find out more soon but I have one thought given it’s also happening indirectly under the DDT umbrella…Pro Wrestling, Everybody! (And they do love their wrestling giant mascots over there)
(And yeah, this is usually the slowest time of the year in Japanese pro wrestling)
