All-Japan continues the Anniversary Series today in Sendai. Today is a borderline major event with 3 title matches scheduled: First up is a GAORA TV Championship match as Masaaki Mochizuki returns from Dragon Gate to defend the title against Yasutaku Yano. Second is a match for the vacant All-Asia Tag Team Championship between Dan Tamiura & Seigo Tachibana and MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka. Finally, in the main event, Jun & Rei Saito defend the All-Japan World Tag Team Championship against the Yumas-Yuma Aoyagi & Yuma Anzai. Saitos & Yumas, sounds like fun.
Today’s event will be held at Sendai Sun Plaza in Sendai and can be watched LIVE on AJPW.TV in Japanese. This will also be a taped GAORA SPORTS broadcast in Japan on 10/21. There are 7 matches planned with an intermission and while the later TV broadcast suggests the event could go as long as 4 hours, I anticipate the running time being closer to 3 hours.
Today’s lineup:
Shota Kofuji vs. Kumaarashi
Rising Hayato & Hokuto Omori vs. Aizawa No. 1 & Makoto Oishi
Suwama, Go Shiozaki & Masayuki Kono vs. Xyon, Odyssey & Shotaro Ashino
GAORA TV Champion Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Yasutaku Yano for the title
Intermission
