New Japan 2/11/2026 Results

THE NEW BEGINNING, New Japan’s first true blowout event of the year, and a very relevant and appropriately-titled one at that, is now in the books.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym in Osaka and can be watched on demand OUTSIDE JAPAN ONLY on New Japan World. This event aired as part of WORLD PRO WRESTLING LIVE 2026 exclusively on TV Asahi in Japan. You can also watch the pre-show match FOR FREE on YouTube.

Pre-show match: Katsuya Murashima Send-Pff Match: Toru Yano & Togo Makabe beat Shoma Kato & Katsuya Murashima. Makabe pinned Murashima after a King Kong kneedrop. Match 3: NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Champions Boltin Oleg, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto beat Hartley JacksonX Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr. to retain the titles. YOSHI-HASHI pinned Jackson. V1 for the champs.

At this time, President Hiroshi Tanahashi appeared to announce DOMINION, the annual June Osaka blowout event, on 6/14 at Osaka-jo Hall, and that it will be a live TV broadcast nationwide in Japan. Presumably that means TV Asahi, and for those of us outside Japan it means New Japan World.

Match 6: Ren Naritta beat NEVER Openweight Champion Aaron Wolf to win the title. Narita becomes the 51st NEVER Openweight Champion. 128 seconds of glorified House Of Torture beatdown squash that began before Wolf even got to the ring. Honeymoon over already.

Pro Wrestling NOAH 2/11/2026 LIVE Results (Updated)

Pro Wrestling NOAH continues the usually-monthly LEGACY RISE 2026 Tour (the new STAR NAVIGATION 2022-2025 Tour) with a second signature event this month and a rare weekday morning matinee (it’s a holiday in Japan), this one continuing the NOAH Jr. Tag League. The annual Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Tournament kicked off Friday and continues today with 4 round-robin format matches, so every team will have 2 matches after today is finished. A highlight match today will see Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf on opposite sides in the tournament for the first time since Wolf turned on his brother to defect to Team 2000X and take the GHC National Championship with him. This will be followed by 2 title matches-the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship will be defended as Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI look to back up their New Year NOAH Debut upset win by defending against KENTA & HAYATA. In the main event, Yoshiki Inamura looks to get one step closer to his desired GHC Heavyweight Championship defense against Kenoh but first, the Team 2000X gauntlet continues with a defense against Takashi Sugiura.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in English. This is a live & exclusive ABEMA broadcast in Japan in Japanese (so we get an at-times-muted & edited version), which will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE shortly after the event ends. There are 7 matches and since the tournament matches have time limits, even with the 2 title matches it probably will have close to a “normal” Korakuen running time of around 2 1/2 hours, but I’m thinking closer to 3 hours. But It can’t go too long because there are other events at Korakuen later in the day.

Today’s lineup:
Kaito Kiyomiya, Galeno, Harutoki & Midori Takahashi vs. Manabu Soya, Hajime Ohara, Yuto Koyanahi & Hiroto Tsuruya
NOAH Jr. Tag League:
AMAKUSA & Black Menso-re vs. Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey
Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69 vs. Tadasuke & Jun Masaoka
Daga & Daiki Odashima vs. Eita & Katsumi Inahata
Dragon Bane & Alejandro vs. Alpha Wolf & Kai Fujimura
GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI vs. KENTA & HAYATA for the titles
GHC Heavyweight Champion Yoshiki Inamura vs. Takashi Sugiura for the title

At the start Naomichi Marufuji brings Shinjiro Otani out, in a wheelchair but seems to be in good spirits. We briefly get some Japanese commentary before English comes back on. He says despite his injury he wants to stand in the ring again and is rehabbing every day to make that happen. A promo video for his new YouTube channel is shown. He encourages everyone to subscribe of course. Otani says it’s been 4 years since he was last at Korakuen and he really misses everything about the iconic venue. He finishes with some final words of encouragement and saying he loves pro wrestling.

The matches begin at 6:43 PM PT/9:43 PM ET. Otani will be at ringside for most or all matches.

Result: GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI beat KENTA & HAYATA to retain the titles. BUSHI pinned HAYATA. V1 for the champs. Late in the match, an unknown wrestler, soon revealed by commentary to be Angel Reyes, interfered as an apparent new member of Los Tranquilos de Japon, giving them 4. As soon as it ended, Soya came out. With microphone. Challenge issued. But he didn’t name a partner, just repeatedly saying “With Passion!” Saxon Huxley is back in England so…anyway, seemingly accepted. Updates to follow, hopefully later today or tomorrow.

UPDATE: In more post-event news, it appears Galeno is heading back to Mexico again so his latest stint is almost over. His last match this time will be on 3/8 against Kiyomiya.

No word yet on when/if Soya will get his tag title shot or who his partner is. However, a clue may have been dropped-on 3/1 at Korakuen Soya & Tsuruya will face Naito & RYUSEI.

Obituary-Former Sumo, New Japan Wrestler Tadao Yasuda Dies

New Japan is reporting their learning of the recent death of Tadao Yasuda, although a cause is not known. He reportedly was found dead today (yesterday Japan time) at his home in Tokyo per unofficial internet reports. He was 62.

He first began his career as a sumo wrestler in 1979, using the shikona (ring name) Takanofuji he reached a career high rank of Komusubi, the 4th highest rank in pro sumo. After a 13-year career he retired in 1992 and joined New Japan shortly afterwards, debuting in 1994. In 2001 he entered MMA under the guidance of Antonio Inoki and shocked the world by defeating powerhouse fighter Jerome Le Banner at INOKI BOM-BA-YE 2001 at the Saitama Super Arena. He followed by returning to New Japan and winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in 2002. He continued in the promotion until 2005, when he left for other promotions, namely the defunct comedy promotion Hustle where he won multiple championships, and retired in 2011. In sumo he had a career record of 418-459-4 (win-loss-absent) as a member of Kokonoe Beya (stable/room) with one Special Prize and 2 Kinboshi (Gold Star Victory, when a Maegashira rank wrestler defeats a Yokozuna Grand Champion in a tournament). He would have qualified for elder stock, which would have allowed him to become a coach and possibly a stablemaster at some point. In MMA his official career record was 2-4 with one fight-his last-in the PRIDE promotion, the rest mostly were in Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye or other one-offs.

Yasuda is reportedly survived by a daughter. I join New Japan and others in sending my deepest condolences to Yasuda’s family, friends and fans.
