Dragon Gate continued the KING OF GATE 2023 Tournament today, wrapping up Round 1 action as the field was narrowed down to 16.
Today’s event was held at Kyoto KBS Hall in Kyoto and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK.

There was a last-minute change to the card because Ben-K was removed just before the event. Illness. Out tomorrow as well. As a result, he is out of KING OF GATE and Susumu Mochizuki will get a free pass (again) to the Quarterfinals.

Match 2: KAI & ISHIN beat Jason Lee & U-T. ISHIN pinned U-T after Death Penalty.
Match 3: Ultimo Dragon, Masaaki Mochizuki, Susumu Mochizuki & Mochizuki Jr. beat Kota Minoura, BxB Hulk, Minorita & Ryoya Tanaka. Susumu Mochizuki pinned Tanaka after Yokosuka Cutter.
Match 4: KING OF GATE Round 2: BIGBOSS Shimizu beat Yasushi Kanda.
Match 5: Shun Skywalker & H-Y-O beat Kzy & JACKY “FUNKY” KAMEI. H-Y-O pinned KAMEI after Neko Tamashi.
Main Event: KING OF GATE Round 2: Yuki Yoshioka beat Dragon Kid.
