But for now the opponent has only been billed as TBA but with one big teaser-it will be a foreigner making their first ever trip to Japan. So it could be from All Elite Wrestling or Pro Wrestling EVE, but that rules out Hikaru Shida, Thunder Rosa, Willow Nightingale, Alex Windsor, Leah O’Reilly and Max The Impaler among other potential notable names from both the US and England, and also another potential rematch with Shoko Nakajima (who Sakazaki beat to win the title earier this month) and Miyu Yamashita (the only other 3-time champion). Time to research for perhaps some Serena Dirty Deebs or maybe a Tony! Toni! Tone! Storm is on the horizon…

DEVELOPING: New Japan-Karl Anderson Update (Updated)

New Japan’s English website has provided an update on Karl Anderson and the NEVER Openweight Championship, which he is to defend on 11/5 against Hikuleo in Osaka. Those plans have been thrown in disarray because Anderson & Doc Gallows have seemingly returned to WWE and are now advertised for an 11/5 event in Saudi Arabia. New Japan has attempted to contact Anderson over the last several days but he has not responded. The promotion’s stance is Anderson defends or he will be forced to vacate the title and return the belt immediately.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Anderson has responded on Twitter, saying he will not vacate the title and will defend the belt on his own time and NJPW should contact his booker/agent…who is Gallows according to Anderson.

BREAKING: Top AEW Guys to NJPW in November

Breaking news via New Japan’s Japanese website: IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions FTR are headed to Japan “urgently” for the first time. They have been added to 11/5 at Osaka Prefectural Gym, while no potential opponent has been announced it sounds like it’s going to be for the titles. FTR first will try to earn a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship tomorrow on AEW Dynamite.

Match 1: In a Children’s Lunch Cooking Match Showdown, with the winner declared by referee/judge Daisuke Kiso, Yuka Sakazaki beat Miu Watanabe by decision.
