It’s not often an injury is celebrated in real life or in kayfabe, but this one in Stardom may be an exception because it involves the H.A.T.E. faction-Thekla is out of action now. Unspecified injury. Out indefinitely. She is not on any of this next week’s events but now the question mark is her status for the Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League which starts in 2 weeks and, to a lesser extent, the titles because she holds the Goddesses Of Stardom Championship with Momo Watanabe.

New Japan ran the penultimate event of the Road To KING OF PRO WRESTLING Tour today.

Today’s event was held at Saku City General Gym in Nagano. There is/was no live or on demand broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 538.

Match 1: Yasutora Yasuda vs. Daiki Nagai went to a 10 minute time limit draw.

Match 2: Shoma Kato & Tomohiro Ishii beat Katsuya Murashima & Boltin Oleg. Ishii pinned Murashima.

Match 3: Taiji Ishimori, Caveman Ugg & Bad Luck Fale beat Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls. Ugg pinned Fujita after Tour of the Caves.

Match 4: Taichi & DOUKI beat Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Sho. Taichi beat Kanemaru with Taichi-type Gedo Clutch.

Match 5: Shota Umino, Toru Yano & Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi & EVIL. Umino pinned Togo after Death Rider. Afterwards, Umino paid tribute to the late wrestler Kuniaki Kobayashi, who died several weeks ago, with the playing of his entrance theme.

Match 7: Kevin Knight, KUSHIDA, Tomoaki Honma, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto beat Drilla Moloney, Clark Connors, Gedo, Gabriel Kidd & David Finlay. YOSHI-HASHI beat Gedo with Butterfly Lock.

Injury Report: All-Japan Debut Postponed

All-Japan had 2 rookie debuts scheduled for 10/22 at Korakuen Hall, but one of them has been postponed as Sakuto Terada, one of the new rookies, is now off and his debut will be postponed. Concussion. Suffered recently in practice. Out indefinitely. He was to have teamed with Taishin Nagao, who will also debut at the event, to face Ryo Inoue & Dan Tamura. Tamura is now off and Nagao will face Inoue. The full card is still TBA so Tamura may wind up elsewhere on the lineup (currently there are 2 title matches, a Suwama 20th Anniversary match and, as is now customary for them at Korakuen, an Actress Girls pre-show segment).

GLEAT followed up their latest blowout event with another big event today, billed as GLEAT vs. Strong Opponents, the latest GLEAT Ver. EX.

DDT continued their current tour today with a house show in Tokyo.

Match 3: Jun Akiyama, Danshoku Dieno & Yoshihiko beat Shunma Katsumata, Takao Soma & Kazuki Hirata. Dieno pinned Soma after Masochistic Driver. As a result, Dieno wins Soma’s “Money In The Bank” title shot.

Main Event: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Lidet UWF Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima beat Masakatsu Funaki by ref stoppage (technical submission) to retain the title. V1 for Nakajima.
