Injury Report: Rei Is DOOMED

Not good, either the puns or the news. On the heels of All-Japan announcing the 10/13 Miyagi event has been POSTPONED because he will be absent, it’s been announced that Rei Saito is on the injury list again. Right shoulder surgery. Out indefinitely but the event postponement suggests at least 2-3 months. He is also out of the upcoming Royal Road Tournament. Naruki Doi is the replacement and will now face Daisuke Sekimoto in Round 1. The promotion will announce a new date for the postponed 10/13 event at a later date.

Injury Report: Not GLEAT At All

It really isn’t…GLEAT has announced unfortunate circumstances that have taken Takanori Ito out of action again. Unspecified injuries suffered in a traffic accident. Out indefinitely pending further information but it means he is now off this week’s Lidet UWF event. Changes are forthcoming to that event.

Pro Wrestling NOAH 8/3/25 Results

Pro Wrestling NOAH continued the SUNNY VOYAGE 2025 Tour today in Kobe.

Today’s event was held at Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE tomorrow at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 414.

Match 1: Ulka Sasaki & HAYATA beat Alejandro & Kai Fujimura. Sasaki pinned Fujimura with a backdrop hold.

Match 2: Hajime Ohara beat AMAKUSA & Black Menso-re in a 3-way by pinning Menso-re.

Match 3: Naomichi Marufuji, Kazuyuki Fujita & Junta Miyawaki beat Kenoh, Tetsuya Endo & Atsushi Kotoge. Marufuji pinned Kotoge after Shiranui.

Match 4: Galeno beat Caribbean.

Match 5: Kaito Kiyomiya & Harutoki beat Jack Morris & Tadasuke. Kiyomiya pinned Tadasuke after a skywalk elbow.

Match 6: Owadasan beat Daiki Odashima.

Match 7: Manabu Soya, Daiki Inaba & Yuto Kikuchi beat OZAWA, Takashi Sugiura & Knull by DQ. Sugiura DQ’d. Masa Kitamiya interference. Afterwards, Kitamiya defected to join Team 2000X. This also set up a GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match for 8/11.

Main Event: GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf beat Eita & Shuji Kondo to retain the titles. Bane pinned Kondo after Twisterbane. V3 for the champs.

All-Japan 8/3/25 Results (Updated)

All-Japan began the Summer Action Wars 2025 Tour today with an event in Tokyo that also wrapped up the Zennichi Jr. Festival Tournament.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV. The event will also be broadcast on GAORA SPORTS in Japan at a later date.

The announced paid attendance was 2020.

Match 1: MUSASHI, Seiki Yoshioka, Ryo Inoue, Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer) & Shota Kofuki beat Dan Tamura, Hikaru Sato, Yuko Miyamoto, Fuminori Abe & Seigo Tachibana. Doi pinned Tachibana after Bakatare Sliding Kick.

Match 2: GAORA TV Champion Takashi beat Kuroshio TOKYO Japan to retain the title. V2 for Takashi.

Match 3: Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Daisuke Sekimoto (Big Japan) beat Hokuto Omori & Kumaaarashi. Sekimoto pinned Omori after Giant Press. Afterwards, Sekimoto was announced as the TBA that will be the final participant in the Royal Road Tournament starting later this month.

Match 4: Naoya Nomura beat Ryuki Honda by submission.

Match 5: Shotaro Ashino, Xyon & Odyssey beat Jun & Rei Sairo & Senor Saito. Odyssey pinned Senor Saito after Journey’s End. Odyssey is the former WWE wrestler Odyssey Jones.

Match 6: Ren Ayabe beat Talos.

Match 7: Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo beat All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Kento Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi to win the titles. Suzuki & Mashimo become the 101st All-Japan World Tag Team Champions. Suzuki pinned Miyahara with a double-arm suplex hold.

Main Event: Zennichi Jr. Festival Finals: Atsuki Aoyagi beat Rising Hayato to win the tournament.

The next event is 8/10 at Matsumoto City General Gym in Nagano. Live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin Saturday at 10 PM PT/1 AM ET. It will also be broadcast on Samurai! TV in Japan at a later date.

New Japan continued the G1 CLIMAX 35 today in Fukuoka with Day 7 of Block A.

Today’s event was held at Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

DDT ran an event in Shizuoka today as the second half of a doubleheader with Tokyo Joshi Pro.

Before the event began, Antonio Honda came out dressed as Hulk Hogan and did an “in memory of” segment acting like Hogan and doing his signature poses & actions.

Match 2: In a match where the first wrestler to bodyslam another one wins, Danshoku Dieno beat Akito & Yuya Koroku by bodyslamming Koroku.

Match 3: Yuki Iino & Antonio Honda beat Hideki Sekine & Kazuki Hirata. Honda pinned hirata after an Iino elbow drop.

Match 4: HARASHIMA, Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada beat Daisuke Sasaki, Illusion & MJ Paul. HARASHIMA pinned Paul after Blue Sword.

Takagi is 3-3, 6 points whule Phantasmo is 2-5, 4 points and is now OUT due to tiebreakers (not counting the Kidd forfeit he only beat Takeshita so far). The top 3 advance.

Tokyo Joshi Pro 8/2/25 LIVE Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro continues the Tokyo Princess Cup today in Shizuoka with the second half of Round 1. This will be a placeholder for results and will be updates when possible.

Today’s event will be held at Act City Hamamatsu in Shizuoka and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Monday. There will be no live broadcast, but there is a chance they will try to stream live FOR FREE on YouTube using an iPad but that depends on network conditions at the venue. Waiting on updates as to whether this will happen.

There has been a last-minute change to today’s card just before this was posted as Maki Itoh is now off. The always-vague poor health. She was to have teamed with Kira Summer, Chika Nanase & Ivy Steele to face Miu Watanabe, Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku. Watanabe is the replacement and it will now be a handicap match of Aino/Raku/Harajuku vs. Watanabe/Summer/Nanase/Steele. She also has been added to 8/23 because while she was supposed to be on an international excursion that means she would not be in the Tokyo Princess Cup, she cancelled and won’t be going. On 8/23 she will face TBA, which will be one of the wrestlers already eliminated from the tournament so it could be any of the 14 that don’t make the Finals.

We are LIVE from Act City Hamamtsu in Shizuoka, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The initial setup per TJPW’s website was for around 250 and what I can see is full although tickets were still available today. If that setup holds I’ll predict it’ll be around 200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 288)

Up Up Girls starting as I join the live stream. Since it’s an iPad it will be a fixed camera view from about 5 rows back but initially the stream quality is very good. But once matches get going and the ring moves a lot it may lose focus briefly at times, it’s happened a few times already during Up Up Girls.

The matches begin at 8:13 PM PT/11:13 PM ET. Match order is mostly as above except the handicap match is 2nd, tag match is 3rd, for the tournament matches Tatsumi-Nakajima is the main event and Arai-Kamifuku will be 6th.

The Quarterfinals are 8/9 at Shinagawa Grand Hall in Tokyo.

For being a somewhat impromptu attempt at livestreaming the event on an iPad via YouTube, it went fairly well. For me there was only one brief instance of buffering/freezing and that came in the main event (I was watching in 1080p HD), it was only a fixed view so a few outside-the-ring spots on either side were missed (again one in the main event too) but to be able to get an event like this live when it was going to be on demand only, I’m not complaining. Thumbs up for the effort, I’d rate is an 8 out of 10. If you missed it live, it’ll be available on demand Monday.

The next event is a(nother) Hyper Misao Produced event Tuesday at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo. There will be no live broadcast.

Today’s event was held at Big Palette Fukushima in Fukushima and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

There was a last-minute change to the card due to Ruaka being pulled off the event. The always-vague poor health. She was to have faced Aya Sakura. As a result, Sakura gets a forfeit win. A tag match with Sakura and the non-tournament rookies was added.
