Match 1: Yukio Naya & Hideki Okatani beat Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku, Minoru Fujita & MJ Pawl and Yuki Iino & Yumehito Imanari in a 4-way, when Naya pinned Koroku.

A big announcement for the year-ending event on 12/29 at TDC Hall-SKE48 member Yuki Arai, half of the Princess Tag Team Champions in Tokyo Joshi Pro, will participate in the event. AA Eye Candy in DDT! Now as long as she & Saki Akai aren’t put against those deplorable Pheromons…

Match 2: In a Hardcore Match, Toru Owashi beat Kazuki Hirata. This went just 12 seconds. Which led to…
Kazuki Hirata beat Toru Owashi. This went just 14 seconds. Which led to…
Toru Owashi beat Kazuki Hirata. This all led to a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship challenge alongside Dragon Gate star Naruki Doi. That will happen on 11/12 in Osaka.

Match 3: Yuki Ishida beat Danshoku Dieno. Sanshiro Takagi was special referee and assisted. This set up a big match between Takagi’s army and Pheromons for 10/23-if Pheromons lose, they must disband. But if Takagi’s team loses, Yuki Iino becomes President of CyberFight Corporation (DDT Group owner) for a day. Yikes. It will be a pre-show dark match and a 5 vs. 2 Handicap Match-Takagi, Owashi, Oishi, Akito & Antonio Honda vs. Iino & Dieno (with Yumehito Imanari).

Match 4: Yukio Sakaguchi beat Takeshi Masada by ref stoppage (TKO).

After the main event, Shinya Aoki came out and cashed in his “Money In The Bank” NFT for a title shot anytime, anywhere for a KO-D Openweight Championship match then and there! Which led to…

DDT 10/10/22 Results (2 Events)

DDT ran an “only DDT could do it” doubleheader today, first running a traditional event then coming back at midnight for a special hot springs wrestling event, part of the wacky, unusual comedy style DDT is known for.

Event 1:
Today’s first event was held at Komikyo Higashinari Civic Center in Osaka and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 280, a super full house/very near sellout.

Pre-Show Match: Yusuke Okada & Yuki Ishida beat Takao Soma & Takeshi Masada. Okada pinned Masada after Sudden Death.

During the opening greeting & announcements, the opening shout was by DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Keiko Takeshita, Konosuke Takeshita’s mother. Both Kazuki Hirata & referee Matsui (the event’s sponsor) tried to win the belt, which is contested under 24/7 rules anytime, anywhere as long as there is a referee present. Both failed.

Match 1: HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Akito beat Minoru Fujita, MJ Pawl & KANON. HARASHIMA pinned Pawl after Blue Sword.

Match 2: Yuki Iino & Danshoku Dieno vs. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata, Sanshiro Takagi & Makoto Oishi and Trans Am Hiroshi & Yoshihiko went to a no contest in just 54 seconds. GM Imabayashi stoppage. Which led to…
In an elimination match, Yuki Iino, Danshoku Dieno, Trans Am Hiroshi & Yoshihiko beat Kazuki Hirata, Sanshiro Takahi, Makoto Oishi & Toru Owashi. Yoshihiko was the only winner, last eliminating Hirata. For those unfamiliar with DDT, Yoshihiko is a life-size blow-up sex doll. Ridiculous, absolutely, but the stuff the wrestlers can do on their own with it is just incredible.

Match 3: Toui Kojima & Harutoki beat Hideki Okatani & Yuya Koroku. Kojima pinned Koroku after Kojima in Wonderland.

Match 4: Shuji Ishikawa, Yukio Sakaguchi & Chris Brookes beat Magnitude Kishiwada, Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya. Sakaguchi pinned Naya after God’s Right Knee.

Match 5: Jun Akiyama & Antonio Honda beat Kuishinbo Kamen (Osaka Pro Wrestling) & Kikutaro (Independent/Freelancer). Honda pinned Kamen after an Akiyama Exploder.

Match 6; Tetsuya Endo beat Masa Takanashi.

Match 7: Daisuke Sasaki & HUB (Independent/Freelancer) beat Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata. HUB pinned Katsumata after Aruma Chief.

Event 2:

The announced paid attendance was 30, a legit sellout. Fans attending had to wear swimsuits.

This was a one-match event: In a Falls Count Anywhere match, Shunma Katsumata & Toui Kojima beat Yukio Naya & Yuya Koroku. Katsumata pinned Koroku after Tortoise Splash onto a water back. This match went just a few seconds short of 1 hour.

The next event is Wednesday at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo headlined by a KO-D Tag Team Championship match. Vocal cheering will be allowed so capacity will be reduced. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.

New Japan 10/10/22 Results (Updated x3)

New Japan ran their fall blowout event today, dubbed “Declaration Of Power” this year today, although the mood was somber as this was the first event held (excluding the England doubleheader) since the death of New Japan founder & Hall of Fame wrester Antonio Inoki, who was going to be named Honorary Lifetime Chairman today.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling “WRESTLE PRINCESS 3” Results (10/9/22)

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling runs their biggest event of the year, WRESTLE PRINCESS 3, today, a blowout event featuring top names from TJPW, All Elite Wrestling, Pro Wrestling EVE in England and more. All 3 TJPW titles are on the line tonight-first, International Princess Champion Alex Windsor returns from England to defend against Miu Watanabe, who will be at a huge size advantage but makes up for it in heart and determination. Then, EVE tries to win more gold as Nightshade & Leah O’Reilly challenge AA Eye Candy (Yuki Arai & Saki Akai) for the Princess Tag Team Championship, another literally huge challenge for the champions. In the main event, Princess Of Princess Champion Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki face off for the title once again. The undercard includes former AEW Women’s World Champion Riho, Hall of Fame legend Aja Kong and the scary US sensation Max The Impaler.

Today’s event will be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese and English. The Japanese commentary team will be Haruo Murata, Kagehiro Osano and special guest Reika Saiki (a former Princess Of Princess Champion, Tokyo Princess Cup winner and original Up Up Girl among other accolades who officially retired earlier this year). The English commentary team will be Chris Brookes & Baliyan Akki. Vocal cheering by fans will be allowed at the event, which will result in greatly reduced capacity but it could be a sellout as only one section of seats will have same-day tickets available. Everything else is sold out. If you’re going to stay up late in the US to watch plan on a most or all-nighter as I anticipate this event will run close to 3 hours, not including a pre-match press conference with the EVE talent and title signing ceremonies to stream FOR FREE on YouTube one hour before the event before the event. You can also watch until the end of the first match on YouTube.

Today’s lineup:
Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano vs. Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami
Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Neko Haruna vs. Nao Kakuta, Yuna Manase & Yoshiko Hasegawa
Suzume vs. Ryo Mizunami
Mizuki vs. Hyper Misao
Aja Kong, Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. Yuki Aino, Rika Tatsumi & Max The Impaler

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 12:30 AM ET/9:30 PM PT. The pre-event press conference and title match contract signings on TJPW’s YouTube channel will begin at midnight ET/9 PM PT.

9:30 PM PT UPDATE: We are LIVE from Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Your Japanese hosts are Haruo Murata & Reika Saiki. Kagehiro Osano likely will join us later. Your English hosts are Chris Brookes & Baliyan Akki.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event, but if it’s not a legit sellout it’s going to be very close.
UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1007, a legit sellout. Because vocal cheering was allowed, capacity was only allowed to be 50%.

The matches are scheduled to begin in 30 minutes. The first portion is backstage interviews with the title match participants, although it gets hilarious when Saki Akai & Yuki Arai are interrupted by the wondering Max The Impaler. Haruo Murata sure got scared too. Arai never stopped smiling.

We go back to the ring 10 minutes before start as Sayuri Namba is running around before taking the stage and entering the ring for the opening announcements. It should be noted the opposite-hard camera side of the ring is about right up against the stage, so if they go outside the ring there they’ll be a few feet up on stage. That could be a factor in some matches.
They also introduced two new trainees during this segment.

Up Up Girls performance begins just after 10 PM PT. So we’re about 5-10 minutes from the first match. (Actually not. They’re doing multiple songs, so the first match now won’t begin until at least 10:20 PM PT). But for the second song their new member-to-be joins them.

The matches begin at 10:20 PM PT. Your 3rd host Kagehiro Osano now joins Japanese commentary..

Match 1: Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano vs. Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami. 20 minute time limitResult: Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano beat Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami. Nagano pinned Toribami after a rolling high kick. That’s Nagano’s first career victory!

The YouTube broadcast ends here. WRESTLE UNIVERSE continues.

Match 2: Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Neko Haruna vs. Nao Kakuta, Yuna Manase (Ganbare Pro Wrestling) & Yoshiko Hasegawa (Ganbare Pro Wrestling). Sayuri Namba mixes up Manase’s intro with Kakuta and the broadcast introduces Kakuta on-screen as Mahiro Kiryu. I didn’t hear any “YOU F***ED UP!” chants in Japanese though. 20 minute time limit
Result: Nao Kakuta, Yuna Manase & Yoshiko Hasegawa beat Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Neko Haruna. Kakuta pinned Haruna after Shiden Kai.

Match 3: Suzume vs. Ryo Mizunami (Independent/Freelancer). 15 minute time limit
Result: Ryo Mizunami beat Suzume

Match 4: Mizuki vs. Hyper Misao. 15 minute time limit. And after it started apparently it became a No DQ match (albeit a hardcore comedy match).
Result: Mizuki beat Hyper Misao. Comedy match.

Quick break for ring cleaning.

Match 5: Aja Kong, Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. Yuki Aino, Rika Tatsumi & Max The Impaler. 20 minute time limit
Result: Yuki Aino, Rika Tatsumi & Max The Impaler beat Aja Kong, Raku & Pom Harajuku. Tatsumi pinned Harajuku after a sliding hip attack (butt bump). Kong & Max kept going at it outside the ring after the match and finally everyone just ran off scared and let them fight. This was far more entertaining than it had any right to be.

Promo video for 10/14 at Shinjuku Face, which will feature an exhibition match that is the culmination of a TV competition series on Japanese TV called “Dream On The Ring”.

Match 6: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh vs. Riho (All Elite Wrestling) & Hikari Noa. 20 minute time limit
Result: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh beat Riho & Hikari Noa. Itoh beat Noa with Itoh Deluxe.

Match 7: Miu Watanabe beat International Princess Champion Alex Windsor to win the title. Watanabe becomes the 11th International Princess Champion.

Match 8: Princess Tag Team Champions Yuki Arai & Saki Akai beat Leah O’Reilly & Nightshade to retain the titles. Arai pinned Nightshade after Finally. V2 for the champs.

Main Event: Yuka Sakazaki beat Princess Of Princess Champion Shoko Nakajima to win the title. Sakazaki becomes the 11th Princess Of Princess Champion. She also joins Miyu Yamashita as the only 3-time champions.

After the main event, the entire roster gathered on stage for a post-event celebration for the fans and a huge announcement…on March 18, 2023, GRAND PRINCESS returns for a second installment…and this time…ARIAKE ARENA DEBUT! And they’ll also be in action on the biggest day of the year for pro wrestling in Japan with a Korakuen Hall event on January 4, 2023-this is the day New Japan Pro Wrestling runs Japan’s version of WrestleMania at the Tokyo Dome.

The next event is a special “Yume Pro Wrestling-Dream On The Ring” event Friday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo. A special exhibition match between the TV competition show’s participants is scheduled as the final of the series, and all TJPW wrestlers as well as Max The Impaler and Leah O’Reilly will participate.
