This is the second major incident affecting Japanese wrestlers recently following New Japan wrestler Yuji Nagata having his account hacked & taken over by crypto pushers/scammers. After failed attempts to recover the account, including fellow wrestlers like Josh Barnett trying to amplify the issue and get higher-up help (which won’t happen because of how Musky it is there), Nagata made a new account about a week ago and is back to his normal online self.

Injury Report: To The D-L (Updated)

Dragon Gate announced what has been some updates to a recent injury situation: U-T, who has been out recently due to injury, will be out a bit longer. Unspecified injury. Out indefinitely. This could have major title impacts soon as he is scheduled to face Open The Brave Gate Champion Ryoya Tanaka for the title on 4/26 in a rematch from when Tanaka won the title. That’s still a month away so there is time but this bears continued monitoring.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Unspecified injury is a back injury.

TJPW News: Late 3/29/2026 Card Change

Tokyo Joshi Pro has been forced to make a last-minute change to the GRAND PRINCESS ’26 lineup on 3/29…unfortunately no Wasteland Pom Party once again because Max The Impaler is now off the event. Visa issues. Max was to have teamed with Pom Harajuku & Aja Kong to face Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro. Veny is the replacement. Of course this is very disappointing because no Max & Pom together again. But it’s how things are sometimes.

Also, it has been announced that, in addition to the live WRESTLE UNIVERSE broadcast, you will also be able to watch the first match LIVE FOR FREE on YouTube. That is scheduled to be Uta Takami vs. Shion Kanzaki.

But had this match gone another 19 seconds it would have been a time limit draw. If that happened, Yagami would have retained the title. Next up: Xelhua from Pro Wrestling WAVE. That match will happen on Tuesday at Korakuen Hall.

The next event is Saturday at Yume Messe Miyagi West Hall in Sendai. There will be no live broadcast. It was also announced the 4/17 US event will be a PPV on Stardom World, but it may also be available on Triller/FITE as it’s part of WrestleMania week in Las Vegas, but it’s not on their schedule yet.

BREAKING: DDT Top Star Retiring (Updated)

DDT announced a short time ago on social media that Kazusada Higuchi, who is currently out with injuries, has decided to retire. This is due to cervical spine issues found during a recent physical and continuing his career would be dangerous. So the decision was made he will retire, with a retirement ceremony held on 4/5 but he will not have any more matches.

Initial thoughts…This really surprised and saddened me as, since the pandemic, he became one of DDT’s top stars and a KO-D Openweight Champion after leaving Eruption behind (it was winding down as Hideki Okatani left then Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai retired), but that brought one of the signature memories I’ll have of Higuchi-Flagbearer for DDT. He carried the promotion’s flag with him to the ring as champion and waved it with pride. A true champion who understood what being the face of the promotion meant and stood for. He was a wrestler in every way-looks, demeanor, performance, results. Someone I would want to build around. The injuries the last couple years were unfortunate as it took him away from helping build up younger wrestlers, especially Naomi Yoshimura (who also was out long-term with injuries) and Yuki Ishida as Harimao, and I hate to see him have to walk away because of this but it’s the right decision and I appreciate his doing a retirement ceremony and getting a proper sendoff. Hopefully DDT can find a role for him much like with Akai (she works part-time in the front office and makes occasional appearances on commentary). Higuchi-san, thank you for your hard work. Rest well and heal up and enjoy post-wrestling life.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Harimao will also disband after 4/5. Ryota Nakatsu will team with Yoshimura & Ishida against Shunma Katsumata, Kota Umeda & Koki Iwasaki.
