Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling 1/18/2026 LIVE Results (Updated)

Dragon Gate continues the Open The New Year Gate 2026 Tour today with their first visit to Tokyo this year, unusual because it’s both a weekend event and a morning matinee for their monthly mid-major event. In fact, it’s the first EVER such Sunday morning Tokyo event for the promotion! The event is highlighted by an All-Asia Tag Team Championship match as ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato, having won the titles recently in All-Japan Pro Wrestling, will defend them today against Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii, with the match being under PWF (All-Japan) rules and All-Japan referee Krohei Wada being the referee. In the main event, BIGBOSS Shimizu faces Kzy after Shimizu, recently returned from a nearly-year-long absence for potential disciplinary reasons, betrayed Natural Vibes right after his return and it’s built up to this showdown today.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on DRAGONGATE NETWORK in Japanese & English. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube. As is usually the case here, there are 7 matches on the card and I would anticipate the running time to be a little longer than a normal Korakuen event, probably close to 3 hours (including a probable intermission in the second half).

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The crowd is still filing in but it looks like a close to full capacity setup with extra chairs around the ring and in front of the bleachers. I haven’t been able to check what advance ticket sales are like but they are up against sumo today, however I’ll still predict they’ll do around 1200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1556, a legit sellout with standing room only overflow)

The matches should begin in 20-30 minutes. The opening announcements begin about 7 minutes before event start time.

The event begins at 6:35 PM PT/9:35 PM ET. Madoka Kikuta & his heel faction come out first for a heel promo. Notably missing? BIGBOSS Shimizu. ISHIN mentioning him gets interrupted by Kzy, who storms to the ring. The heels leave soon after leaving Kzy to finish the promo. He then brings out Strong Machine J & U-T for the Natural Vibes dance & song before their match. And with that…

(Yoshioka is from Gifu just like the nam whose legacy it seems he will try to carry on, Hiroshi Tanahashi). Afterwards, Yoshioka with microphone. Sounds like an Open The Dream Gate Championship challenge issued to Kikuta. GM Ryo Saito hits the ring to make it official. That match will happen on 2/23 at Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka.

Result: BIGBOSS Shimizu beat Kzy
Shimizu has definitely slimmed down a lot during his absence and is much more ripped muscle-wise. Afterwards, his closing heel promo was interrupted by Shun Skywalker coming out. His full-face mask muffled his words on microphone a bit but he clearly emphasized he was challenging Shimizu to a match. (UPDATE: That match will happen on 2/5) Both heel factions got into a brawl as Ryo Saito returned to ringside and the fighting on both sides continued into the backstage area. Kzy rolled back into the ring with microphone to finish up the show. It sounded like Kzy was talking about leaving or breaking up Natural Vibes or something along those lines. But this moodiness and worrying was interrupted by Daiki Yanagiuchi coming out. He wants to join them. And after some brief debating, decision made-he’s in. They danced together to the Natural Vibes song to wrap up the event. Today marks the next step up for the young rising star…and in a funny moment, Akihiro Sahara came out wearing a reggae wig to join them.
He wants in too! And it looks like Natural Vibes now has 5 members as the youngsters join the faction and finish with good vibes to send the crowd home happy.

The next event is 1/24 at Act City Hamamatsu in Shizuoka. There will be no live or on demand broadcasts. No more broadcasts this month. Back to streaming on 2/1 for MEMORIAL GATE 2026 in WAKAYAMA.

Stardom continued their 15th Anniversary tour today with the first half of this weekend’s doubleheader in Osaka.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 1/17/2026 LIVE Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro really gets their 2026 going today with the kickoff of the 6th Max Heart Tournament. The promotion’s now-annual tag team tournament usually held early in the year, it’s a bracket-style single-elimination tournament featuring almost the entire roster, with this year’s event featuring 12 teams. 4 teams get a free pass through the first round and all Round 1 matches will be held today with the winners advancing to the Quarterfinals. Both teams I want to make the Finals-Yuki Arai & Mifu Ashida and Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku-are in action today. Wasteland Pom Party lost in the Finals last year so hopefully it’s one better this year.

Today’s event will be held at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE and ABEMA (the new WRESTLE UNIVERSE live subscription package is required for the latter, the ABEMA add-on will not have on demand replays-that is only on standalone UNIVERSE). There will be no commentary. The event is a legit advance sellout. There are 6 matches planned total and the tournament matches have no time limit so this may be a longer house show event than normal, closer to 2 1/2 hours.

Main Event: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao vs. Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami. No time limit
Result: Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami beat Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao. Toribami pinned Misao. As a result, Yamashita & Toribami advance to the Quarterfinals and will face Suzume & Arisu Endo. I figured if there was going to be an upset today, it would be here and that’s what happened. One of the usual big favorites is out. This could be the start-or continuation from the last couple months-of the impending big breakout year for Toribami.

Today’s event went much shorter than I expected, checking in at only 110 minutes.

The Quarterfinals are 1/25 at Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin on 1/24 at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.

In other news, it was announced that “YES! Wonderland”, the annual Golden Week blowout event traditionally held on 5/4 at Korakuen Hall, will return after a hiatus last year in favor of an Osaka event.




DDT 1/15/2026 Results

DDT headed to the boat races today for a special event around racing day in Tokyo.

Today’s event was held at Boat Race Tama River in Tokyo and may be a ailable on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The paid attendance was not announced but this may have been a free event.

Match 1: Sanshiro Takagi & Junta Miyawaki beat Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Hinata Kasai. Miyawaki pinned Kasai.

Match 2: Danshoku Dieno, Akito & Pocotan beat Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Kazuki Horata. Pocotan pinned Hirata after a divong headbutt.

Match 3: Tokyo Joshi Pro Match: Aja Kong & Yuki Kamifuku beat Shoko Nakajima & Chika Nanase. Kamifuku pinned Nanase after Fameasser.

Ganbare Pro 1/11/26 Results (Updated)

Ganbare Pro held an event Sunday with several matches spread out between boat races at a venue in Saitama.

Sunday’s event was held at Boat Race Toda 1st Floor Event Hall in Saitama and may be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date.

This was a free event outside of venue admission so there was no paid attendance announced.

There was a last-minute change to the event due to Takuya Wada being pulled off the card. Unspecified circumstances. Match 2 was changed as a result.

Match 1: Yoshihiro Toguchi & Gabai Ji-chan beat Chou-un Shiryu & Kokoro Suzuki. Gabai pinned Suzuki after a swanton bomb.

Match 2: Mizuki Watase, Gota Ihashi & Munetatsu Nakamura beat Keisuke Ishii, Yuki Kanzaki & Sentaro Motoshima. Nakamura pinned Motoshima after Michinoku Driver 2.

Match 3: Moeka Haruhi, Yuna Manase & YuuRI beat Maya Yukihi, Bunny Oikawa & Yuki Mashiro. YuuRI pinned Oikawa after a swanton bomb.

Match 4: Akira Koji & Tyson Maeguchi beat Ken Ohka & Shota Kawakami. Koji beat Kawakami with an armbar.

UPDATE: Injury Report-Munetatsu Nakamura may have been injured during this event. Neck. Out at least several weeks and will miss 1/31. Status for February and beyond TBD. This means a significant 1/31 change because Nakamura was supposed to face Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Champion Masaaki Mochizuki for the title. Shinichiro Tominaga is the replacement. The promotion is also offering refunds for purchased tickets as a result. On social media, Nakamura posted he should know more on his recovery after a doctor’s visit next week.

DDT News: Fans To Decide Takagi Spin-Off Future

An interesting announcement from DDT today-as part of the 3/24 event at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo there will be a survey among fans in attendance at the end of the event-Continue Super Japan Pro Wrestling or End It Immediately?

For background. Super Japan is the latest Sanshiro Takagi produced independent project separate from DDT, which he started a couple years ago after taking a step back from wrestling full-time and launching M&A Pro Wrestling, promoted by DDT but featuring no DDT wrestlers aside from Takagi on these events (essentially independent). After a few events Takagi ended the project and started Super Japan to replace it, following mostly the same premise. He usually does these events every 3-4 months or so.

The vote will be majority so we’ll see what happens after the 3/24 event. (That will be a Super Japan event)

For further background from DDT’s website (machine translated from Japanese): “On March 25, 1997, DDT held a pre-flag-raising match titled “Judgment” at Hibiya Radio City. At this box office, he declared that “if the support of the majority of the audience is not obtained, the flag raising will be canceled,” and after all the games, the spectators were asked whether or not to raise the flag. As a result, the majority of support was obtained, and DDT was officially launched.”

Pro Wrestling NOAH 1/12/2026 Results

Pro Wrestling NOAH continued the LEGACY RISE 2026 Tour yesterday in Gunma.

Yesterday’s event was held at Green Done Maebashi Sub Arena in Gunma and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Thursday (and only on UNIVERSE, the paid ABEMA add-on does not include on demand replays, only live broadcasts). There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 297.

Match 1: Eita & Harutoki beat Katsumi Inahata & Hiroto Tsuruya. Eita beat Inahata.

Match 2: AMAKUSA & Black Menso-re beat Yuto Koyanagi & Midori Takahashi. Menso-re pinned Koyanagi after Snake Boy.

Match 3: KENTA, HAYATA & Tetsuya Endo beat Manabu Soya, Mohammed Yone & Shuhei Taniguchi. HAYATA pinned Taniguchi after 403 Impact.

Match 4: In a 3-way to determine 2 participants in the upcoming NOAH Jr. Tag League, Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69 beat Hajime Obara. Kotoge won first by pinning Hi69 then Bi69 won second by pinning Ohara.

Match 5: Alejandro beat Kai Fujimura by DQ. During the match, Fujimura turned heel and became the latest to defect to Team 2000X.

Match 6: Kaito Kiyomiya, Galeno, Daga & Daiki Odashima beat Masa Kitamiya, Takashi Sugiura, Alpha Wolf & Tadasuke. Daga pinned Wolf. Afterwards, Daga issued a GHC National Championship challenge to Wolf.

Main Event: Yoshiki Inamura, Will Kroos, Jack Morris & Dragon Bane beat Naomichi Marifuji, Kenoh, Kazuyuki Fujita & Shuji Kondo. Kroos pinned Kondo after a diving body press. Based on post-match comments, Kroos finished up his current NOAH stint today and will be returning home to Europe. He promised to come back though. And Inamura continued to build towards a desired GHC Heavyweight Championship match with Kenoh, if he ever finishes with Team 2000X.

The next event is MONDAY MAGIC RISING SUN SEASON Episode 1 Monday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

In other news coming out today, Daga-Wolf was quickly made official post-event. That match will happen on 1/25 at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka.

The (almost) full Jr. Tag League field was announced: Daga/Odashima, Bane/Alejandro, Kotoge/Hi69, AMAKUSA/Menso-re, Mark Trew/Kieron Lacey, Tadasuke/Jun Masaoka, Wolf/Fujimura, TBA (one team). It’s a round-robin format tournament starting on 2/6, the top 2 teams will meet in the Finals on 3/1.

Stardom News: Upcoming Title Matches, Sudden Retirement, More (Updated x2)

Some post-weekend Stardom news:

First, 2 title matches have been announced for upcoming events-first on 1/21 is Wonder Of Stardom Champion Konami vs. Rina for the title, as the Artist Of Stardom co-champions set their titles and H.A.T.E. alliance aside as Rina challenges for the white belt. Second is on 1/25 which will gave NEW High Speed Champion Yuna Mizumori vs. Yuki Mashiro for the title. Mizumori pulled off a seemingly unimaginable upset in beating Mei Seira for the High Speed Championship on 12/24 but more recently Mashiro pinned Mizumori in a 6-woman tag match leading to this.

Next, the sudden retirement-at Saturday’s event Saki Kashima unexpectedly announced her retirement. Her final match will be on 4/26 at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, traditionally the promotion’s biggest event of the year. Coming out of this is a Kashina-Syuri match on 2/7, presumably a NON-TITLE match as far as 2-belts Syuri is concerned.

After she was beaten in her Stardom debut match yesterday by her now-opponent, Maki Itoh vs. Aya Sakura has also been announced for 2/7. Sakura further rubbed it in by using Itob’s catchphrase (the cutest in the world…she’s not) against her, a rare time I actually am now rooting for Cosmic Angels. 2/7 also will see an E Nexus V vs. Mi Vida Loca faction match with potentially high stakes. (Suzu Suzuki was absent this weekend due to illness but is expected back for the Risa Sera retirement event which was today, Suzuki is Sera’s final opponent. She should be back in Stardom next weekend)

And finally, as it will not be a one-off but maybe a three-off return, Yuzuki Aikawa’s next return match is set-on 1/21 she will team with Natsupoi & Starlight Kid to face Sakura. Sayaka Kurara & Yuria Hime. This seems to be continuing the path towards Aikawa’s last match in this brief comeback, a match against Hime and perhaps a symbolic torch-passing by the original Stardom OG.

UPDATE: Tokyo Sports reports that, unbeknownst to us until just now, Natsupoi recently got married. Her husband? New Japan wrestler Shingo Takagi. They began dating in 2024 and registered their marriage last year. Takagi stated in the article he would like a child in the future but plans to keep wrestling for a while longer (he’s 43, Natsupoi is 30). So congrats and I guess a warning to those going after Stardom’s fairy…now she has a RAMPAGE DRAGON as backup.

UPDATE 2: Following up on prior reports from Sunday, Bozilla is now off the next 3 events (1/17, 1/18, 1/19). Unspecified injury sustained that day.

Yuki Ueno has been pushing, and pushed, more than perhaps any other DDT wrestler this year. Unfortunately it’s caught up with him and he was injured yesterday and is headed to the sidelines. Right calf. Out at least the next 2 events, or probably at least a week. Ueno plans to be in attendance at both events and hold an autograph session so hopefully that’s a sign it isn’t serious. For tomorrow (the second event, it’s a same-day doubleheader with a D GENERATIONS event first, which comes up tonight. No live broadcast) he was to have been in an 8-man tag match. Ryoma Tsukamoto is the replacement. He should be part of a public signing ceremony for he next KO-D Openweight/Universal Title match which is in 2 weeks so we’ll have to monitor his condition.

UPDATE: Ueno will be out a little longer than anticipated. Now off Saturday as well but will be in attendance for an autograph session with fans.

All-Japan 1/11/2026 Results

All-Japan ran their annual year-opening fan appreciation event today in Tokyo.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.

The announced paid attendance was 530, a legit sellout and over normal max capacity for the venue, which is 500.

There were last-minute changes to the card due to Ryo Inoue & Shota Kofuji being pulled off the event. Flu.

Before the event began, the promotion announced the signing of Yasutaka Yano to a trainee contract. Initial fan reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly negative to this.

Match 1: Kumaarashi beat Ryuki Honda.

Match 2: Daisuke Sekimoto, Hikaru Sato & Seiki Yoshioka beat MUSASHI, Kengo Mashimo & Yuko Miyamoto. Yoshioka pinned MUSASHI after a Miyamoto Sasuke Special X Version 10.2 Segway misfired.

Match 3: Seigo Tachibana beat Ren Ayabe, Talos & Cyrus in a 4-way by countout. Everyone else counted out.

Match 4: Jun Saito, Hideki Suzuki & Shotaro Ashino beat Hokuto Omori, Atsuki Aoyagi & Dan Tamura. Saito pinned Omori after Psychi Break.

Main Event: Kento Miyahara & Go Shiozaki beat Yuma Anzai & Rising Hayato. Shiozaki pinned Hayato after Go Lariat.
