Match 1: Kento Miyahara, Ren Ayabe & Ryuki Honda beat Hokuto Omori, Talos & Hideki Suzuki. Miyahara pinned Suzuki after Blackout.

Match 2: Jun & Rei Saito & Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer) beat Yuma Aoyagi, Shotaro Ashino & Ryo Inoue. Jun Saito pinned Aoyagi after a jackhammer.

Match 3: Block A: Hikaru Sato beat Seiki Yoshioka by submission.
Match 4: Block A: Rising Hayato beat Seigo Tachibana by submission. As a result, Hayato wins Block A and advances to the Finals.

Main Event: Atsuki Aoyagi beat Dan Tamura. As a result, Aoyagi wins Block B and advances to the Finals. The Finals will be on 8/3.

Before the event, a memorial ceremony was held for wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, who died yesterday at 71.

Before the event began, it was announced that the injured Gabriel Kidd is now officially OUT of Block B and the tournament. Hyperextended right knee. All remaining matches will be forfeit wins for his opponents. That means he is now out at least another 2-3 weeks.

Injury Report: NO-HEY

Pro Wrestling NOAH has announced a somewhat significant injury change to upcoming events-significant because it’s current GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion YO-HEY. Left orbital floor fracture (eye). Out indefinitely but at least several weeks. He was to have defended the title against Hiromu Takahashi on 8/11. That match has been POSTPONED. It’s not yet known how long YO-HEY will be out. Takahashi will still participate on the 8/11 event.

New Japan ran Day 4 of the G1 CLIMAX 35 today, the first solo day for Block B.

Today’s event was held at Aore Nagaoka in Niigata and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

The announced paid attendance was 1547.

There was a late change to the card due to Gabriel Kidd still being out with injury. He was to have faced Shingo Takagi in a Block B match. Takagi gets a free win instead. At this time Kidd is still on the card for his next scheduled match, which is Saturday against Drilla Moloney.

There was a last-minute change to the event as one non-tournament match was cancelled due to Gabriel Kidd being out with injury (hyperextended knee). For now it looks like he’s off the next event as well meaning he’ll miss another G1 match.
