Match 1: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Illusion beat KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions Shunma Katsumata, Kazuma Sumi & Yuni to win the titles. Sasaki, Okatani & Illusion become the 58th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions. Illusion pinned Yuni.

Match 2: In the first half of a Sapporo Marathon Style Death Match, Akito vs. Kazuki Hirata went to a 4-4 draw after 10 minutes. Scoring was 1 point for pinfalls, submissions or countouts, 1 point for putting on Hirata’s signature sunglasses, 5 points for doing the whole dance wearing said glasses and -2 points for a DQ. The second half of the match is tomorrow. Most points after that wins.

With almost everyone who went to the US a couple weeks ago back home safely in Japan (Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh remain overseas), Tokyo Joshi Pro resumed the spring house show tour today with their first visit to Hokkaido since before the coronavirus pandemic began. Yoshida is nowtechnically eliminated as he has no points with 4 matches left and lost to Smith although he hasn’t yet faced Mashimo. Omori is now all but out too with 2 points, 3 matches left and a loss to Mashimo but he has not faced Smith yet. In Block B, 4 are tied for the lead with 6 points but Kikuta and Mike D. Vecchio have the advantage with 4 matches left while the others have 3. The top 2 in each block advance to the Semifinals.

Normally this is about the time of year New Japan holds their traditional Wrestling Satsuma No Kuni event. It’s not being held this year, instead today was the first of 2 special standalone events elsewhere, WRESTLING REDZONE in HIROSHIMA.

Today’s event was held at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall in Hiroshima and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

The announced paid attendance was 3018.

Match 1: Katsuya Murashima beat Daiki Nagai.

It also will mean the ens for either Nakano & Kamitani as the loser of their World Of Stardom Championship match must retire. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV for 4400 Japanese yen (around $30 US) will begin Saturday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.

Natsuko Tora is now off. The always-vague poor health again.
Added last-minute to 4/27 is Sayaka Kurara vs. Thekla. If Kurara wins, Thekla must join Cosmic Angels. But if Thekla wins, she gets a match against President Taro Okada.
The Mei Seira vs. Suzu Suzuki NON-TITLE match will now be a No DQ match. Suzuki has also formed her own faction called Mi Vida Loca with Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki and, after she asked to join them, Akira Kurogame.
The pre-show match will be a 16-woman battle royal. The winner gets a chance at a Stardom management title.
Japanese comedians Razro Ramon HG & RG have been added to the PPV as guests on Japanese commentary along with Hollywood Zakishisho and Ami Sohrei. Waka Tsukiyama will be a guest on English commentary.

Injury Report: H.A.T.E. Being Sick

Stardom has announced some late changes to tomorrow’s Korakuen Hall event, the last one before their biggest event of the year Sunday, because Natsuko Tora is now off. The always vague poor health. She was to have teamed with Ruaka, Konami & Thekla to face Natispoi, Saori Anou, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara. Momo Watanabe is the replacement, but Watanabe was to have been in a 6-woman tag match. Fukigen is the replacement there, but was to have faced Momo Kohgo & Yuria Hime in a 3-way. That’s now a single match.

DDT ran their latest midweek outdoor event today in Tokyo, which featured the last match for Keigo Nakamura before he goes on an indefinite training excursion.

Today’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Saturday. There was no live broadcast.
