All-Japan 1/26/25 Results

All-Japan wrapped up the New Year Wars 2025 Tour today with a major event in Chiba.

Today’s event was held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center Hall 4 in Chiba and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV. It will also air on GAORA SPORTS in Japan at a later date.

The announced paid attendance was 1012.

Match 1: Rei Saito & Senor Saito beat Taishin Nagao & Seiki Yoshioka. Rei Saito pinned Nagao after a chokeslam.

Match 2: GAORA TV Champion Yuko Miyamoto beat Shotaro Ashino to retain the title. V2 for Miyamoto.

Match 3: Hideki Suzuki & Dan Tamura beat Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda. Suzuki beat Honda with Legal Stretch.

Match 4: All-Japan 6-Man Tag Team Champions Yuma Aoyagi, Fuminori Abe & Hikaru Sato beat Hokuto Omori, Kumaarashi & TBA, revealed at match time to be Aja Kong (OZ Academy), to retain the titles. Aoyagi pinned Omori after The Fool. V1 for the champs.

Match 5: Rising Hayato, Ryuki Honda & Ren Ayabe beat Kento Miyahara, Atsuki Aoyagi & Ryo Inoue. Honda pinned Inoue after Final Vent.

Match 6: MUSASHI beat All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Naruki Doi to win the title. MUSASHI becomes the 70th All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Main Event: All-Japan Triple Crown Champion Jun Saito beat Yuma Anzai to retain the Triple Crown. V1 for Saito.

The next event is 2/9 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo with the Saitos vs. the Aoyagis for the All-Japan World Tag Team Championship. Live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin on 2/8 at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET. This will also be a Samurai! TV broadcast in Japan.

Pro Wrestling NOAH continued the SUNNY VOYAGE 2025 Tour today with an event in Osaka.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The announced paid attendance was 752.

Match 1; Masa Kitamiya & Ulka Sasaki beat Shuhei Taniguchi & Zozaya. Kitamita pinned Zozaya with Saito Suplex.

Match 2: Saxon Huxley beat Daiki Odashima.

Match 3: Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura & Manabu Soya beat Mohammed Yone, Atsushi Kotoge & Hajime Ohara. Soya pinned Ohara after Ballistic.

Match 4: YO-HEY, Tadasuke & Yuro Kikuchi beat AMAKUSA, Junta Miyawaki & LJ Cleary. Kikuchi pinned Cleary after Chaos Break.

Match 5: OZAWA, Tetsuya Endo, Daga & Owadasan (Yu Owada) beat Kenoh, Harutoki, Alejandro & Kai Fujimura. OZAWA pinned Alejandro after Big Ben Edge.

Match 6: GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion Eita beat HAYATA to retain the title. V1 for Eita. Despite being the champ and winning that’s still a mild upset in my book given HAYATA is far and away the top class of NOAH Junior Heavyweights.

Main Event: GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Jack Morris & Omos (WWE) beat Kaito Kiyomiya & Galeno to retain the titles. Omos pinned Kiyomiya after Last Ride. V1 for the champs. Afterwards, there were reports Omos has given his half of the championship to Daga as a replacement because reportedly he is headed back to WWE. More as it becomes available.

The next event is tomorrow at Takamatsu Symbol Tower in Kagawa. There will be no live broadcast. However, it will reportedly be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Monday instead of the usual 3 days after.

Stardom 1/26/25 LIVE Results (Updated x2)

Stardom runs the second half of their “Stardom Award 2024” doubleheader weekend today in Tokyo. There are no title matches today but they will determine who will be the first to challenge Starlight Kid for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship as former champion Saori Anou faces Rina for the next title shot. The second of 2 new trainees, Yuria Hime, will have her debut match today and, after Akira Kurogame debuted yesterday against Suzu Suzuki, Yuria gets arguably the much tougher draw as her career begins against none other than Maika.

There was a late change made to one announced match, the planned match between Aya Sakura & Kiyoka Kokatsu will now be a UWF Rules match. They are using the original UWF Rules and not the Lidet UWF Rules used in GLEAT, although they are largely similar. In fact, the only real difference is the original UWF Rules have a 30 minute time limit compared to 15 minutes for Lidet UWF, otherwise they are the same: No pinfalls, win only by submission, KO, TKO (all points lost), ref stoppage, doctor stoppage or towel. Each fighter has 5 points and loses 1 point on a down recovery (beat 10 count when downed) or rope escape. No DQs, illegal moves or forfeiting. If the match goes to the time limit, most points left wins.

Today’s event will be held at Belle Salle Takadanobaba in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. There will be no commentary. There are 7 matches planned and, assuming there will be an intermission at some point, I anticipate it’ll run about the same length as yesterday’s event did, which wound up being 2 1/4 hours.

DDT 1/26/25 LIVE Results (Updated)

DDT runs their monthly tour-ending Tokyo big event today, “NEW YEAR, NEW HERO 2025-The Beginning Of A New Story”. 3 title matches are part of today’s card with the main event being a KO-D Openweight Championship match as Chris Brookes defends against Shuji Ishikawa. There also will be a DDT Universal Championship match as Gringo Loco, who shocked fans by winning the title in the US last November just hours after Miyu Yamashita became the first woman to win the title, defends against Yuki Ueno. (On a side note, it appears Loco has made 2 defenses outside DDT as this is being billed as the 3rd defense) There also is a DDT Extreme Championship match as Danshoku Dieno defends the title against Gorgeous Matsuno, with the special rule being 1 count pinfalls but otherwise normal rules.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. Marika Tani will be making her semi-regular appearance as a guest on commentary. This is a bigger monthly big event with the title matches so I anticipate it being on the longer end of “normal” Korakuen events with a running time of close to 3 hours.

Dragon Gate held their first major event of the year, THE GATE OF BAYSIDE, today in its traditional location of Yokohama.

Match 2; Ultimo Dragon, Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer), Toru Owashi (DDT), Shuji Kondo & Hyo beat Don Fujii, Genki Horiguchi, Yasushi Kanda, Shachihoko BOY & Luis Mante. Hyo pinned BOY after a double biceps senton.

Stardom kicks off a weekend doubleheader in Tokyo today, events that build towards title shots coming out of last week’s 14th Anniversary event. With Neo Genesis emerging as the victorious faction in a tournament they earned two Stardom title shots of their choice, and set their sights on Stars & Cosmic Angels for the tag team & trios titles. Their hopes of holding all the Stardom titles together could be dashed today though as Miyu Amasaki does have to defend the Future Of Stardom Championship against Azusa Inaba, who will try to bring it back to H.A.T.E. Elsewhere, this weekend also sees the debuts of 2 new wrestlers. starting today as Akira Kurogame will make her debut against Suzu Suzuki. The other new wrestler will debut tomorrow.

Today’s event will be held at Belle Salle Takadanobaba in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. There will be no commentary. There are currently 6 matches scheduled and they’ll probably squeeze an intermission in somewhere so I think this event will run close to 2 1/4 hours.

Tokyo Joshi Pro continues the Futari-wa Princess Max Heart Tournament today with the Semifinals. It’s been a tournament full of surprises and upsets including favorites Suzume & Arisu Endo losing in Round 1 and, much to my delight, Wasteland Pom Party having no trouble getting to this point. Today they get the real surprise team of the tournament so far in Wakana Uehara & Yuki Kamifuku. On the other side, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao seem to have a clear path to the Finals but they have to avoid the upset bid by HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki today. 5 non-tournament matches make up the rest of the event.

Today’s event will be held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Didn’t get a crowd shot before zoom-in but advance ticket sales have me thinking it’ll be just over half-full, or 250-300. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 312)

The matches should begin in 15-20 minutes. During opening announcements a big one is made after Yuki Arai is brought out…she’s coming to the US for the first time at the WrestleMania Week event in Las Vegas! Better get my The Collective tickets now! Luckily she has plenty of time to work on her English as she had a lot of trouble trying to greet the fans in English.

The matches begin at 6:16 PM PT/9:16 PM ET.

Match 1: Yuki Aino, Ivy Steele & Kira Summer vs. Moka Miyamoto, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Kaya Toribami. 20 minute time limit
Result: Moka Miyamoto, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Kaya Toribami beat Yuki Aino, Ivy Steele & Kira Summer. Toribami beat Steele with Birdcage.

Match 2: Miu Watanabe vs. Raku & Neko Haruna in a 3-way. 20 minute time limit
Result: Raku beat Miu Watanabe & Neko Haruna in a 3-way by pinning Haruna. Comedy match which saw Raku bring out and use a pair of yellow-painted traffic cones. Full-size ones too.

Match 3: Miyu Yamashita & Mahiro Kiryu vs. Rika Tatsumi & Chika Nanase. 20 minute time limit. During her entrance Yamashita’s foot slipped as she was climbing up the steps at ringside to the ring apron. Thankfully nothing more than embarrassing and everyone laughed it off.
Result: Miyu Yamashita & Mahiro Kiryu beat Rika Tatsumi & Chika Nanase. Yamashita pinned Nanase after Skull Kick.

Match 4: Mizuki vs. Mifu Ashida. 15 minute time limit
Result: Mizuki beat Mifu Ashida by submission

Stardom 1/23/25 Results

Stardom held their 14th Anniversary event today in Tokyo.

Today’s event was held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 284, a full house/near sellout.

There are rumors that Mayu Iwatani nearly missed the event and was late arriving at the venue. Based on social media posts, it sounds like she got on the wrong train(s) en route. Additionally, many wrestlers did not participate for unspecified reasons.

Before the event began, new trainees Akira & Turia had an exhibition training session in the ring. Afterwards, they were given their first ring names-Akira Kurogame & Yuria Hime-and it was announced both would have their Debut matches this weekend. Kurogame will debut Saturday against Suzu Suzuki while Hime will debut Sunday against Maika.

Match 1: Saya Iida, Hazuki, Koguma, Momo Kohgo & Matoi Hamabe beat Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara, Lady C & Ranna Yagami. Iida pinned Sakura after a lariat.

Match 2: Syuri & Saki Kashima beat Mayu Iwatani & Hanan. Syuri pinned Hanan after Drift Flame.

Main Event: Faction Tournament Finals: In a 30-minute Iron Man/Woman Match, Starlight Kid, Mei Seira, AZM, Suzu Suzuki & Miyu Amasaki (Neo Genesis) beat Maika, Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian (E neXus V) 3-2 to win the tournament. Match progression: HANAKO pinned Amasaki, Seira pinned Rian, Shirakawa pinned AZM, AZM pinned Shirakawa, Suzuki pinned Maika. As a result, Neo Genesis gets TWO Stardom title shots of their choice. They chose Goddesses Of Stardom & Artist Of Stardom. Based on backstage comments it sounds like Suzuki & Seira will go for the Goddesses Of Stardom Championship while Amasaki, Kid & AZM will go for the Artist Of Stardom Championship. The next event is Saturday at Belle Salle Takadanobaba in Tokyo for the start of a weekend doubleheader. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin Friday at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET. For Sunday a change to one match between Aya Sakura & Kiyoka Kokatsu has been announced: It will now be a UWF Rules Match which is as follows: 30 minute time limit, no pinfalls, win only by submission, KO, TKO, points, doctor stoppage, ref stoppage or towel. DQs, forfeiting & no contests are prohibited. Fighters start with 5 points and one is lost per down/10 count and rope escape. If it goes the full time limit, the fighter with the most points left wins. Also, the scheduled match Sunday between Saori Anou & Rina will now be for the next Wonder Of Stardom Championship match.

New Japan 1/23/25 Results

New Japan continued the Road To THE NEW BEGINNING Tour today in Tokyo.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

The announced paid attendance was 1005. That’s kinda low for them at Korakuen based on the past year or so, maybe in part due to sumo.

Match 1: Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Katsuya Murashima by submission.

Match 2: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho, Yujiro Takahashi & Ren Narita beat Shoma Kato, Master Wato, Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano. Takahashi pinned Kato after Pimp Juice.

Match 3: Ryusuke Taguchi, Tomohiro Ishii & Shota Umino beat Jacob Austin Young, Francesco Akira & Great-O-Khan. Taguchi beat Young with Oh My & Gar Ankle.

Match 4: Hartley Jackson (Independent/Freelancer) & Kosei Fujita beat Tonoaki Honma & El Desperado. Jackson pinned Honma after Death Valley Bomb.

Match 5: BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji beat Gedo, Taiji Ishinori, Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney & Gabriel Kidd. BUSHI pinned Gedo after Fable.

New Japan officially kicked off their 2025 campaign today with the start of the Road To THE NEW BEGINNING Tour. The Road To Tokyo Dome 2026 starts now.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

The announced paid attendance was 1019.

Match 1: Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Shoma Kato by submission.

Match 2: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho, Yujiro Takahashi & Ren Narita beat Daiki Nagai, Katsuya Murashima, Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano. Kanemaru pinned Nagai.

Match 3: Clark Connors & SANADA beat TAKA Michinoku & Taichi. Connors pinned TAKA after No Chaser.
