News: TJPW Returning To Vegas (Updated)

In more good news for North American Tokyo Joshi Pro fans, the promotion has announced it will be returning to the US again in April for a WrestleMania week event on 4/16 at The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. 17 roster members have been announced as participating, basically all except Ren Konatsu, Shion Kanzaki, Kira Summer & Chika Nanase. Since Pom Harajuku is coming again I now eagerly await confirmation of Max The Impaler participating so we can go Viva Wasteland Pom Party!

The event will be an 11 AM PT/2 PM ET start time, since that’s the day I go back to work after spring vacation I won’t be able to watch live. Tickets on sale soon and broadcast plans TBA but I’m thinking it will be live on Triller/FITE with the Triller+ subscription package ($8/month) then on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE several weeks later. There also will be a meet & greet there on 4/17 which will be free to attend.

UPDATE: In other US news, it has been announced that all 4 Texas events in March will be broadcast LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. No PPVs. The event schedule is as follows:
3/17-5 PM PT/8 PM ET
3/18-4 PM PT/7 PM ET
3/21 & 3/22-1 PM PT/4 PM ET

Stardom News: Full 2026 Cinderella Tournament Field Announced

Stardom has announced the full list of participants for the 2026 Cinderella Tournament, their major March tournament geared towards younger & less-experienced wrestlers. That is not necessarily the case this year as the field is a massive 32 wrestlers for the single-elimination bracket format event. It’s not the entire roster participating but just about anyone who currently is not a champion is. With that out of the way…

The field: Hanan, Saya Iida, Momo Kohgo, Yuria Hime, Bea Priestley, Natsupoi, Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori, Sayaka Kurara, Aya Sakura, Ami Sohrei, Saki Kashima, Hina, Lady C, Tomoka Inaba, Ranna Yagami, Kiyoka Kokatsu, Miyu Amsaki, Rina Yamashita, Akira Kurogame, Rina, Fukigen, Azusa Inaba, Xena, HANAKO, Waka Tsukiyama, Rian, Anne Kanaya, Kikyo Furusawa, Fuwa-chan, Tabata.

Kurara won last year’s tournament and the prize of a Cinderella-like gown and crown plus a World Of Stardom Championship match. We can easily take out a few names who aren’t going to win (This is Fukigen for one, I think the only rookie/sophomore with any shot is Kurogame, Kashima is not winning because she’s retiring, Yamashita…right…I can’t see Priestley winning) but if I had to pick one I want to see win, I’ll throw a huge underdog pick out there…Rian. She hasn’t gotten the Cosmic Angels push/Tam Nakano rub like Kurara has but she’s on the verge of breaking through. Although who I really want to win is HANAKO. She is one of those who clearly is the future of Stardom along with Hanan & her sisters (Hina & Rina).

The tournament will run over 5 events between 3/6-3/15. Bracket & matches TBA.

Pro Wrestling NOAH 2/23/2026 LIVE Results

Pro Wrestling NOAH finishes up the preliminary round of the NOAH Jr. Tag League today with a holiday matinee in Fukuoka. 5 teams still have a chance at the top 2 spots that advance to the Finals, and while Alpha Wolf & Kai Fujimura have a 2-point advantage they’re not clear by any means. The other 4 teams are at 8 points which could make for some complicated tiebreaker scenarios.

Today’s event will be held at Acros Fukuoka in Fukuoka and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. There are 8 matches scheduled today so it may run a little longer than a normal house show although the tournament matches are only 15 minute time limits, so I’ll predict the running time will be around 2 1/4 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Kaito Kiyomiya & Harutoki vs. Kenoh & Yuto Koyanagi
Galeno vs. Midori Takahashi
Naomichi Marufuji, Mohammed Yone & Hiroto Tsuruya vs. KENTA, HAYATA & Tetsuya Endo
NOAH Jr. Tag League:
Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69 vs. Eita & Katsumi Inahata
AMAKUSA & Black Menso-re vs. Tadasuke & Jun Masaoka
Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey vs. Alpha Wolf & Kai Fujimura

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 10 minutes before the event.

7:50 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun. We should be going to the venue in 5-10 minutes.

7:55 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Acros Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The setup appears to be for around 500 (I think the full capacity for wrestling is 650-700) and while the crowd is still filing in right now it’s a mixed bag. I’ll guess it’ll be a little on the low side for a holiday midday Monday and say it’ll be around 350. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 559. Really late arriving crowd I guess, but we also couldn’t see much on hard camera)

The matches will begin shortly.

The matches begin right on time at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.

Eita/Inahata finish 1-5-1, 3 pts. Kotoge & Hi69 finish 2-5, 4 pts.

AMAKUSA/Menso-re finish 1-5-1, 3 pts. Tadasuke/Masaoka finish 4-3, 8 pts. They now need an absolute miracle and then some to have any chance at finishing top 2 due to tiebreakers-they only beat Dragon Bane & Alejandro.

The matches resume at 9:14 PM PT/12:15 AM ET.

The Final will be Wolf/Fujimura vs. Bane/Alejandro. The winner likely will face Daga/Odashima in the near future for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

The Final is Sunday at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Saturday at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET.

Main Event: Yoshiki Inamura, Manabu Soya & Mohammed Yone beat KENTA, HAYATA & Tetsuya endo. Inamura pinned HAYATA after DIS CHARGE.

With one day left in the tournament before the Finals here are the scenarios and there is a lot to unpack:
Wolf/Fujimura advance to the Finals with a win or draw tomorrow (Trew/Lacey). They are OUT with a loss AND Tadasuke/Masaoka win.
Trew/Lacey advance with a win AND Daga/Odashima-Bane/Alejandro MUST BE A DRAW because Trew/Lacey lose tiebreakers to both. They are OUT if it’s not OR with a loss or draw.
Tadasuke/Masaoka advance with a win AND Wolf/Fujimura win or draw AND Bane/Alejandro win or draw. They are OUT with Daga/Odashima win due to tiebreakers OR if Trew/Lacey win.
Bane/Alejandro advance with a win AND Tadasuke/Masaoka must lose or draw (AMAKUSA?Menso-re). They are OUT with a loss.
Daga/Odashima advance with a win.
If Daga/Odashima-Bane/Alejandro is a draw AND Wolf/Fujimira win or draw AND Tadasuke/Masaoka lose, there will be a Daga/Odashima-Bane/Alejandro rematch as the tiebreaker.
And if there are more than 3 teams tied? Well…let the promotion figure it out!
Daga/Odashima-Bane/Alejandro will be the main event tomorrow.

The next event is tomorrow at Acros Fukuoka in Fukuoka. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin TONIGHT at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.
