STARDOM SAPPORO RENDEZVOUS 2025, Stardom’s monthly major/blowout event, was held today.

Tokyo Joshi Pro 7/21/25 Results

SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25, Tokyo Joshi Pro’s annual July blowout event, is in the books.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Former DDT wrestler Saki Akai returned to the promotion for the first time in 2 years as a guest on commentary along with former figure skater-turned-sportscaster/entertainment personality Mai Asada. This was also a live ABEMA broadcast in Japan.

The announced paid attendance was 1384.

Match 1: HIMAWARI & Ren Konatsu beat Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami. HIMAWARI pinned Takami after Sun Flower Tempest.

Match 2: Andreza Giant Panda & Raku beat Kyoko Inoue (Diana) & Pom Harajuku. Panda pinned Harajuku after Andreza Press. Inoue was a late replacement for the absent Max The Impaler, who could not travel to Japan due to unspecified health issues.

Match 3: Wakana Uehara, Toga, Mifu Ashida & Kira Summer beat Yuna Manase (Ganbare Pro), Mahiro Kiryu, Kaya Toribami & Chika Nanase. Uehara beat Nanase with Banana Pillow.

Match 4: Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro beat Yuki Kamifuku & Veny (Independent/Freelancer) and Arisu Endo & Jada Stone in a 3-way when Aino pinned Endo.

Match 5: Chris Brookes (DDT) & Emi Sakura (All Elite Wrestling) beat El Desperado (New Japan) & Maki Itoh. Sakura pinned Itoh after Queen’s Gambit.

Match 6: Miyu Yamashita beat Billie Starkz (All Elite Wrestling).

Match 7: Moka Miyamoto beat International Princess Champion Suzume to win the title. Miyamoto becomes the 14th International Princess Champion. Suzume must settle for sharing the successful defenses record of 6 with Yuki Arai now, and I can stop rooting against Suzume as I did only because she beat Arai to win the title (Arai still holds the longest reign record at 1 year). And good for Miyamoto who has shown a lot of improvement over the last couple years since she fought against-and later teamed with-Arai.

Match 8: Princess Tag Team Champions Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao beat Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe to retain the titles. Nakajima pinned Watanabe after a diving senton. V3 for the champs.

Main Event: Princess Of Princess Champion Mizuki beat Yuki Arai to retain the title.V3 for Mizuki. To say I was very UNHAPPY UNHAPPY with this is a massive understatement. I can’t put my feelings in polite terms. Next up: The Tokyo Princess Cup winner, unless it’s-heaven forbid-Mizuki. But this means Arai could get a second chance very soon, which would make me very happy.

Next up is the Tokyo Princess Cup, the promotion’s annual single tournament, starting Sunday at Shinjuku Face. This is a single-elimination bracket-style tournament with a field of 16. However, after they get to the Semifinals they’ll re-draw the pairings, but that still means Arai could get another shot at Mizuki in the Semifinals or Finals (first she has to beat Kamifuku then Uehara or Suzume). Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

DDT held a special one-match event today in Tokyo as part of the 2025 Handmade In Japan Festival.

Today’s event was held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo and may be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The attendance was not announced.

Match result: To-y & Takeshi Masada beat KANON & Yuki Ishida and Daichi Sato & Kazuma Sumi in a 3-way when Masada pinned Sumi.

Kazuma Sumi beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Sanshiro Takagi to win the title. Sumi becomes the 1757th Champion. Running into Takagi with his own comedy-modded bicycle. God Bless DDT.

All-Japan continued the Summer Action Series 2025 Tour today with Day 2 of the Zennichi Jr. Festival Tournament.

Today’s event was held at Volfert Toyama in Toyama and will be available on demand on AJPW.TV at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. There was no live broadcast.

New Japan Pro Wrestling 7/20/25 LIVE Results

New Japan runs Day 2 of the G1 CLIMAX 35 Tournament today, and like yesterday it’s all about tournament matches. 10 total matches are set for today with the main event scheduled to be a Block B match of Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Gabriel Kidd. After main eventing Day 1 yesterday Hiroshi Tanahashi is instead in the first match facing Callum Newman. The top Block A match in the semifinal slot today is Taichi vs. Yuya Uemura as the former Just 5/4/3 Guys factionmates square off.

Today’s event will be held at Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center Hokkai Kita Yell in Hokkaido and can be watched LIVE on New Japan World in Japanese and English. All the matches have 30 minute time limits so while it could go over 5 hours it’s more likely to be in the 2 1/2-3 hour range.

When we start…not a good sign as Gabriel Kidd comes out on crutches, his right knee taped. With microphone in the ring. He asks the ring staff to translate as he speaks in English. Hyperextended knee yesterday. Out today. Status uncertain but Kidd says he is not pulling out of the tournament. Presumably this means the main event today is off and Zack Sabre Jr. wins by forfeit, which would mean Taichi-Yuya Uemura is now the main event. And that is now official.

Pro Wrestling NOAH holds the second half of their latest 25th Anniversary doubleheader today in Tokyo, which follows the first event earlier today. The matches were decided after the earlier event and the main event will be NEW GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenoh defending the title against KENTA. Adidtionally, with the New Japan junior heavyweights getting a break for the G1 CLIMAX Tournament, Hiromu Takahashi will participate in today’s event.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese and English. Kenta Kobashi will be a special guest on Japanese commentary. The event is a legit advance sellout including standing room tickets. There are only 6 matches but one is an elimination match and the title match is the main event so it will still be at least a standard length Korakuen event of around 2 1/2 hours, maybe a little longer.

I’d say more like about 16 hours. Post-match, KENTA with microphone. He put over and sent Kenoh off then…next up: Marufuji. Given their extensive history together and against each other in NOAH, why not? Marufuji made sure to shake hands with Kobashi & Saito on commentary before leaving like a good proper VP before KENTA finished his promo to end the show.
