New Japan 9/12/25 Results

Shinnichi Champion, a variety show New Japan launched during the pandemic on New Japan World, celebrated its 5th anniversary today with a unique show-themed event. (The show also was renewed for a 6th year)

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on New Japan World as a PPV for $21.99 US.

The announced paid attendance was 1517, a legit advance sellout.

Match 1: Katsuya Murashima, YOSHI-HASHI & Yuji Nagata beat Shoma Kato, Toru Yano & Togi Makabe. YOSHI-HASHI beat Kato with Butterfly Lock. Satoshi Kojima & Tomoaki Honma were on commentary for this match.

Match 2: Hikaru Sato (All-Japan) won a Masked Battle Royal, where eliminations were by removing other wrestlers’ masks, last eliminating Great-O-Khan. As a result, Sato gets to produce a future episode of Shinnichi Champion.

Match 3: Master Wato, Boltin Oleg, El Desperado & Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Dick Togo, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Ren Narita & EVIL. Tanahashi beat Togo with a Texas Cloverleaf.

Match 4: Masatora Tasuda won a 7 man Handsome Battle Royal. Among the lovely ladies who were special guests for this matxh were popular Samurai! TV personality Miki Motoi and Pieter, Yujiro Takahashi’s “personal dancer” who makes occasional special appearances (she’s also a pro Brazilian samba dancer outside the ring as well as a personal trainer).

Main Event: Ryusuke Taguchi, Taichi, Tomohiro Ishii & Zack Sabre Jr. beat Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa, Yuya Uemura & Shota Umino. Ishii pinned Oiwa.

Pro Wrestling NOAH ran Day 2 of the N-1 VICTORY Tournament today.

Today’s event was held at Okayama Convention Center 1st Floor Event Hall in Okayama and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The announced paid attendance was 420.

Match 1: Dragon Bane, Alpha Wolf & Junta Miyawaki beat Alejandro, Kai Fujimura & Atsushi Kotoge. Miyawaki pinned Fujimura with Sunshine Schoolboy.

While it did not affect today’s event, if you missed the news yesterday OZAWA is now out of the tournament due to injury and will forfeit all his remaining matches. The only one who doesn’t get a forfeit win is Marufuji, who beat OZAWA in their first tournament match.

Stardom 9/10/25 Results (Updated)

Stardom ran their monthly midweek Tokyo event today.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. You can also watch the first 2 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.

Match 1: Hazuki beat Akira Kurogame & Ema Maishima in a 3-way by pinning Maishima.

Match 2: Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian beat Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Kikyo Furusawa. HANAKO pinned Kurara after JP Coaster.

Match 3: Saki Kashima, Ami Sohrei, Lady C & Kiyoka Kokatsu vs. Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki & Bozilla went to a double countout.

Match 4: Natsupoi & Saori Anou beat Tomoka Inaba & Ranna Yagami. Anou pinned Yagami.

Match 5: Future Of Stardom Champion Hina beat Yuria Hime to retain the title. V7 for Hina.

Match 6: Hanan, Saya Iida, Momo Kohgo & Bea Priestley beat Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Momo Watanabe & Azusa Inaba. Hanan pinned Inaba with a backdrop hold.

Match 7: Koguma beat CMLL Japan Women’s CHampion Dark Sileta by ref stoppage to win the title. Koguma becomes the 6th CMLL Japan Women’s Champion. This ended just short of 5 minutes which has me thinking a potential injury occurred.

Match 8: In a 2/3 Falls Match, High Speed Champion Mei Seira vs. Yuna Mizumori went to a 10 minute time limit draw. As a result, Seira retains the title. V7 for Seira.

Main Event: Konami, Rina & Fukigen beat Artist Of Stardom Champions Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki to win the titles. Konami, Rina & Fukigen become the 35th Artist Of Stardom Champions. Konami pinned Kid. Also, after this match a DOUBLE TITLE match was announced-Kamitani vs. AZM for both the World Of Stardom Championship held by Kamitani and the STRONG Women’s Championship held by AZM. That match will happen on 9/27.

The next event is Saturday at Sanjo City Welfare Hall in Niigata. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin Friday at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.

UPDATE: The Koguma-Sileta ref stoppage was due to a Sileta injury. It appears to have happened during a Koguma swinging DDT to Sileta outside the ring and, based on photos posted by Stardom, may have been an arm or shoulder injury.

DEVELOPING: DDT Title Vacated (Updated)

Developing from DDT-the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship is now VACANT. Previous champions Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Illusion have vacated the title due to the current Sasaki injury that has him out indefinitely (fractured ribs). It was Sasaki’s decision after consultations. No word on plans yet for new champions.

Today’a event was held at Kuki City General Gym in Saitama. There is/was no live or on demand broadcast.

Match 2: Katsuya Murashima beat Masatora Yasuda.

Match 4: Clark Connors, OSKAR & Yuto Ice beat TAKA Michinoku, Tomoaki Honma & Taichi. Ice pinned Honma after K.O.B.

Injury Report: WAKANAAAAOW

Tokyo Joshi Pro has announced an injury change for upcoming events this weekend-Ober Eats is out of service as Wakana Uehara is now off. Unspecified injury suffered this past weekend. Out Saturday. She was to have faced Hyper Misao. Chika Nanase is the replacement, which means the match she was in, teaming with Mahiro Kiryu vs. Miu Watanabe & Toga, is now a 3-way.

Hopefully Uehara will be able to return after this event, that’s critical because the next event is WRESTLE PRINCESS 6 on 9/20 where she & Yuki Kamifuku are to face Misao & Shoko Nakajima for the Princess Tag Team Championship, and it also has been announced the winners defend on 10/18 vs. Yuna Manase & Toga. (Nakajuma & Kamifuku are also off this weekend, which was expected and previously announced due to a match between them in Major League Wrestling in the US for Nakajima’s MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship)

Pro Wrestling NOAH 9/8/25 Results (Updated)

Pro Wrestling NOAH kicked off the annual N-1 VICTORY Tournament today, the promotion’s annual Heavyweight single tournament, which is in a round-robin format with 2 blocks.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in English. The live broadcast was English only due to being an ABEMA exclusive broadcast in Japan-that version will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE shortly if it’s not already.

The announced paid attendance was 1548, a legit advance sellout. Some standing room only tickets were sold today.

All matches were N-1 VICTORY matches with one exception.

Match 1: Block A: Daga beat Tetsuya Endo.

Match 2: Block B: Jack Morris beat Daiki Inaba.

Match 3: Block B: Galeno beat Harutoki.

Match 4: Block A: Masa Kitamiya beat Manabu Soya by submission.

Match 5: Block B: Ricky Knight Jr. beat Kenoh. Obligatory first day UPSET ALERT!!!

Match 6: Block A: Kazuyuki Fujita beat Ulka Sasaki.

Match 7: Block B: Naomichi Marufuji beat OZAWA by countout.

Match 8: Hiromu Takahashi (New Japan) beat GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion YO-HEY to win the title. Takahashi becomes the 59th GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Main Event: Block A: Kaito Kiyomiya beat KENTA.

The next event is Wednesday at Okayama Convention Center 1st Floor Event Hall in Okayama. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.

UPDATE: Injury Report-OZAWA was injured in his loss to Marufuji. Left foot, later diagnosed as a Lisfranc injury. Out indefinitely but will miss the rest of the tournament. All remaining matches will be forfeits.

The first challenger for Takahashi will be Eita. That match will happen on 10/11 at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

BREAKING: Another TJPW Wrestler Retiring

Breaking announcement from Tokyo Joshi Pro-Neko Haruna, who has been out most of the last 2+ years due to injuries, has left the promotion and will retire later this month. She is recovering from knee surgery in June and will not be able to compete again before retiring. The retirement ceremony will be held on 9/27 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo as part of a scheduled TJPW event. That event is scheduled to be streamed live on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

Haruna, 26, spent her entire career, almost 7 years, with TJPW and, at about 4’9″, was the shortest wrestler in the promotion (about 1-2 inches shorter than Shoko Nakajima). Shin-Kiba 1st Ring is also where she debuted.

(Side note: Haruna has confirmed on social media that she will not wrestle on 9/27, but will be in attendance)

Tokyo Joshi Pro 9/7/25 Results (Event 2)

As noted earlier today, Tokyo Joshi Pro ran a straight doubleheader in Tokyo today, the second event being a “normal” event for all fans after the women-only first event.

Today’s event was held at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The announced paid attendance was 222, a full house/near sellout.

During the opening announcements, a TJPW INSPIRATION event, the latest in the promotion’s series of occasional spin-offs featuring unusual comedy matches and outside participation which are uncommon in the main events, was announced for 11/19 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. The first match announced is Shoko Nakajima & Miyu Yamashita vs. Yuki Kamifuku & Yuu. Yuu, who currently competes in Sendai Girls, will be retiring at the end of the year. She also is competing in DDT later this week.

Match 1: HIMAWARI beat Ren Konatsu.

Match 2: Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku beat Mahiro Kiryu, Kaya Toribami & Mifu Ashida. Raku pinned Ashida after Doctor Yellow.

Match 3: Yuki Arai beat Chika Nanase.

Match 4: Rika Tatsumi beat Uta Takami by submission.

Match 5: Suzume & Arisu Endo beat Haru Kazashiro & Shino Suzuki. Endo pinned Suzuki after The 10th Law.

Match 6: Yuna Manase (Ganbare Pro) & Toga beat Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer. Toga pinned Summer after Rock Bottom. Afterwards, Manase issued a Princess Tag Team Championship challenge on behalf of herself & Toga. We’ll see what happens but that’s going to depend in part on what happens at WRESTLE PRINCESS 6 on 9/20 as Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao will defend the titles against Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara.

Main Event: Mizuki, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao beat Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara. Misao beat Uehara with a chicken wing.

The next event is Saturday at Tsurugajo Gym in Fukushima for another Arisu Endo hometown event. There will be no live broadcast. On demand on 9/16.
