Tokyo Joshi Pro 11/16/24 NEAR LIVE Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro is running their big monthly event, The Mountain Top ’24, right now in Osaka. Below are in-progress NEAR LIVE results.

Today’s event is being held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There is no live broadcast, but they did try to live stream the main event via the service’s new UNIVERSE CAST feature, which is like a live vlog for the wrestlers (frequently used multiple times daily by Miu Watanabe).

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 384)

Match 1: Yoshiko Hasegawa beat Chika NAnase by submission.

Match 2: Shoko Nakajima beat Neko Haruna & Kaya Toribami in a 3-way by pinning Haruna.

Match 3: Maki Itoh, Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu beat Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku. Itoh beat Harajuku with Itoh Deluxe.

Match 4: NEXGENE Tournament Semifinals: Toga beat Kira Summer.

Match 5: NEXGENE Tournament Semifinals: Haru Kazashiro beat Wakana Uehara.
As a result, the Finals will be Toga vs. Kazashiro. The winner gets a future title shot of their choice. (Probably going to be Toga, who was my pick before the tournament) That match will happen Friday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo.

Match 6: Shazza McKenzie & Moka Miyamoto beat Rika Tatsumi & HIMAWARI. McKenzie pinned JIMAWARI after Shazzastick Stunner.

Match 7: Yuki Arai, Suzume & Arisu Endo beat Mizuki, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami. Arai beat ? (results don’t say exactly who yet but I’m betting Takami) with a scorpion deathlock.

Main Event: Princess Of Princess Champion Miu Watanabe beat Zara Zakher to retain the title. V5 for Watanabe.

The next event is Friday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo with the NEXGENE Tournament Finals and Arai vs. McKenzie for the International Princess Championship. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

All-Japan Pro Wrestling 11/16/24 Results

All-Japan continues the World’s Strongest Tag League today in Sendai with the third day. It’s still in the early stages and every team has only had one or two matches so far, today each of the 2 blocks have 2 matches scheduled. Block A has MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka vs. Makoto Oishi & Mike D. Vecchio while the main event will be the second block match of Jun & Rei Saito vs. Rising Hayato & Yuma Anzai. Block B matches will be Hikaru Sato & Yuko Miyamoto vs. Cyrus & Hartley Jackson and Ryuki Honda & Ren Ayabe vs. Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Seigo Tachibana. Non-tournament matches fill out the card.

Today’s event will be held at Yume Messe Miyagi in Sendai and can be watched LIVE on AJPW.TV. There will be no commentary. There will be an intermission at the halfway point of the card, so although it has only 6 matches that will stretch it out a little big. That and Kuroshio’s seemingly never-ending entrance antics. Even if every match went the distance the longest this event could go is 3 hours, with the intermission I’d anticipate the running time being roughly 2 1/4 hours.

Stardom 11/16/24 LIVE Results

Stardom runs their monthly NEW BLOOD event today, taking their developmental series to Osaka for a special NEW BLOOD WEST installment. As is normally the case, it will feature a mix of younger & less experienced Stardom wrestlers and similar from other promotions including freelancers. A new wrestler is also slated to debut today, currently named Matoi (ring name TBA at a later date) following an exhibition practice appearance at a recent event. The main event will likely be a New Blood Tag Team Championship match as Rina & Azusa Inaba, who are also in this year’s Goddess Of Stardom Tag League Tournament, defend the titles against Ranna Yagami & Lady C.

Today’s event will be held at Osaka Azalea Taisho in Osaka and can be watched LIVE FOR FREE only on YouTube. It will not be available live on Stardom World. There will be no commentary. These events are on the shorter side and there are only 5 matches planned so the event will probably run a little over 90 minutes but less than 2 hours.

We are LIVE from Osaka Azalea Taisho in Osaka, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. This is a very small venue that typically averages around 200 for wrestling events, the seating I can see looks full or close to it. I’m not too familiar with the capacity but from what I know about the past I’ll guess it’ll be around that 200 figure. (UPDATE: It has not yet been announced but it was a legit advance sellout) (UPDATE 2: The announced paid attendance was 246)

The matches should begin in a few minutes.

The matches begin at 8:03 PM PT/11:03 PM ET.

Match 1: Matoi Hamabe Debut Match: Matoi Hamabe vs. Hanan. 15 minute time limit
Result: Hanan beat Matoi Hamabe by submission. But a very good effort from the newcomer in her debut, showing a lot of potential and nearly pulled the upset on a few occasions. Afterwards, Hanan with microphone. She put Hamabe over and thanked her before letting Hamabe have the microphone for post-debut comments.

Match 2: Mei Seira & Miyu Amasaki vs. Yuna Mizumori & Momoka Hanazono (Independent/Freelancer). And some kind of bubble machine with Hanazono. 20 minute time limit
Result: Mei Seira & Miyu Amasaki beat Yuna Mizumori & Momoka Hanazono. Seira pinned Mizumori after a Hanazono weapon attack backfired and Seira ducked so she hit Mizumori instead.

Match 3: Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara vs. Sumiko Yanagawa & Misa Kamihime (Just Tap Out/JTO). 20 minute time limit. As was the case in match 2 entrance music is muted for the outsiders (copyrights).
Result: Sumiko Yanagawa & Misa Kamihime beat Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara. Kamihime pinned Kurara after a diving senton.

Match 4: HANAKO & Rian vs. ZONES & ChiChi (Independent/Freelancers). 20 minute time limit
Result: ZONES & ChiChi beat HANAKO & Rian. ChiChi pinned Rian. Post-match promos interrupted by Aya Sakura who rushed in to attack ZONES & ChiChi leading to a Sakura beatdown from ZONES as HANAKO & ChiChi scuffled while others tried to break it up.

Main Event: New Blood Tag Team Champions Rina & Azusa Inaba vs. Ranna Yagami & Lady C for the titles. 20 minute time limit
Result: New Blood Tag Team Champions Rina & Azusa Inaba beat Ranna Yagami & Lady C to retain the titles. Inaba pinned Yagami after a running knee strike. V2 for the champs. Afterwards the usual group photo op with all the participants ended the show.

The next NEW BLOOD event will be on 12/26.

The next event is HISTORIC X-OVER 2, a crossover event with New Japan, Sunday at Osaka Prefectural Gym. Live streaming as a PPV on Stardom World will begin Saturday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET. It will also be available on New Japan World, for those in the US it’ll be maybe a dollar or two cheaper there. The PPV on demand window is expected to be one week. The Goddess Of Stardom Tag League Tournament resumes Wednesday.

Of note: Victory came at a potentially high price for Mitakeumi as he appeared to be seriously injured. At the end, when both rikishi fell out of the ring, Mitakeumi landed hard in his left shoulder/upper arm and could not move. He had to be loaded onto a gurney and taken out on a stretcher. If he can’t complete tomorrow, Takanosho will get the fusen. Let’s just hope it’s not serious because Mitakeumi was off to a great start at 5-1 after today. After taking his first loss today, a freebie would put Takanosho at 6-1 and keep him potentially just one off the lead or maybe put him back into a tie for the lead. Kirishima’s first win also saw him potentially get injured, it appears his foot/ankle bent quite awkwardly at the end of his match, he was limping a bit afterwards so we’ll see what happens there. At 1-5 his Ozeki hopes this time are gone. Elsewhere, Onosato has now lost 2 losses after taking a second straight loss to Wakatakakage, who beat him in September. He’s got the always-unpredictable Ura tomorrow. The other Ozeki are back in top form so far as Hoshoryu is a co-leader at 6-0 while Kotozakura is 5-1. Kotozakura has Atamifuji tomorrow while Hoshoryu has Abi finishing up his Ozeki rounds-a win could make Abi a leading contender for the Outstanding Performance Award if eligible.

Of note: Oshoumi somehow got a second chance in Juryo despite going 6-9 at this rank in September, which should have met demotion to Makushita. He’s made the most of it, already matching his September win total and remaining the sole leader. He gets Daishoho tomorrow. At the bottom, Chiyomaru seems headed back to Makushita as in his latest return to Juryo he is now 0-6 after the loss to Onosho, who is 2-4 as he tries to stay in the top 2 tiers. Not looking good either for fellow newcomer Wakaikari who is now 1-5.

Lower tier notes: With his loss as the Makushita man in Juryo today, Obara will be demoted as he is now 0-4, joining Kamito as early Makushita demotions. As Promotion Day begins tomorrow in the lower tiers, the Makushita has 14 at 3-0 so any of those who win over the next 2 days remain tied for the lead and will be promoted. In the Sandanme, no match for Enho today. He’s among 21 tied at 3-0 and will go for promotion tomorrow against Yurikisho, who also is 3-0. The Jonidan has 22 at 3-0 while the Jonokuchi has 3 at 3-0.

Lower tier notes: Enho had a second straight match (uncommon to happene arly on consecutive days) in the Sandanme today and won, taking him to 3-0 and one win away from a 3rd straight promotion since he began his comeback effort. That means no match tomorrow so we’ll next see him in action on Day 7 or 8. He probably needs 5 or more wins (ideally 6 or 7) to get up to Makushita in January.

UPDATE: For Juryo, Tohakuryu has WITHDRAWN ahead of Day 6. Unknown why at this time. Hidenoumi gets the fusen as a result, and he needed it as he was 0-5.

Of note: For the first time since demotion from the top tier after his rookie effort due to injury, Hakuoho will be back up tomorrow as the Juryo man of the day. He will face Shishi, with a win getting the former top Hakuho protege to 3-1 which would be a big step towards possibly returning in January as he’ll proabbly need at least 9 wins.

Lower tier notes: No Enho match yesterday, his second Sandanme match will be today as he looks to go 2-0. He will face Dairado, who is Sd55 and 1-0. (As of this post the Sandanme matches for Day 4 are just getting started)

Stardom 11/11/24 Results

Stardom continued the Goddess Of Stardom Tag League tournament yesterday in Tokyo.

Yesterday’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 1026.

Before the event began, a 5-minute exhibition practice was held with former wrestler & current New Japan World commentator Milano Collection A.T. and a current trainee, who will debut Saturday against Hanan.

Match 1: Goddess Of Stardom Tag League Red Block: Konami & Saya Kamitani beat Tam Nakano & Sayaka Kurara. Kamitani pinned Nakano after Star Crusher. Afterwards, Kamitani issued a World Of Stardom Championship challenge to Nakano. That match will happen at STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM on 12/29 at Ryogoku Kokugikan

Match 2: Hazuki, Koguma, AZM & Miyu Amasaki beat Hina, Lady C, Tomoka Inaba & Ranna Yagami. Amasaki pinned Yagami after Amanohashidate.
